Excellent place! The prices are great, they borrow you great quality skates for that amount, sharp and not blunt. Huge rink and great service, staff was always kind and helpful.
They also have a great buffet just next to the rink also with great prices, you can even use your phone to pay and have a clear view of the rink while you are eating or drinking.
They have good size lockers too which takes a 20p coin and keeps it at the end of your stay.
Everything is clean, modern, and just brilliant overall! Looking forward to next time! :)

Went for a birthday party. Not sure on pricing but venue is very nice. Very large rink with lots of staff on the ice. It seems that lots of professionals practice here and there were lots of groups too. There is a small cafe and lots of seating around the rink for spectators. Everywhere seemed very clean but toilets are dated. Location Very good and parking cheap £1 for 5 hours

I've been coming here since I was a child and it hadn't changed. We had an amazing day.. lots of fun.. the skating aids are usefully for gaining confidence on the ice, the food is cheap and great for kids.. slushies are a bonus as kids love them. have 20p change for you lockers. parking cheap... total price for one adult, a child (7), chicken nuggets and chips, a small and large slushie and parking approx £30

That is a great place for everyone - from the very beginner to competition participants. I really love this Ice Rink, and I wait for each session with a great impatience. I skate 2-3 times a week, and I am a very happy customer.

Pros:
* Rink of a normal size.
* Well-organised lessons, grouped by levels. I personally enjoy these lessons very much!
* Normal prices.
* Highly qualified coaches.
* Very friendly and attentive stuff.

Space for improvement:
* Toilets.
So small. And could you please add some hangers inside cabins, like literally in any other toilets in London? Please?

* Booking / entry system.
Why can't I book times I am interested in and just get inside without queuing? Ok, if I can't escape queuing, why can't I book times as person, who owns her own skates? You had that option in your booking system, why now this option is removed? Also why during busy times you almost never open the second entry to speed up the process?

* I would also think that changing rooms might be a good addition. I come to the rink right after work, and if in winter time I can change at work, than how do I change in summer? I do not really enjoy travelling around the city in warm ice skating uniform during hot summer days. I also do not really enjoy squeezing in your tiny toilets )) Maybe there are some changing rooms, and I just have not found them yet. :)

Post covid edit:
Entry to Public sessions can be booked online at the Lee Valley Ice Centre website.

Book ahead to avoid missing your chance to skate as there are limited numbers allowed on the ice now due to government covid safety rules.

The rink is easy to get to on public transport, buses 55 & 56 arrive right outside with train links coming into 2 nearby stations (Lea Bridge station & also Clapton)
There are also cycle parking spots right by the entry for those using the local cycle lanes to get around.

Skate hire sizes range from kiddie sizes (7 or European 25) through to adult size 15/European 50.
Usually you can choose between hockey or figure style blades, just ask at skate hire.

Rink Cafe has recently re-opened too, so now you can get a warm drink or a slushie depending on how hard you’ve been skating!

The thoughtful folks at the rink have stationed plenty of hand sanitising stations around the building for your safety and convenience.

Learn to skate classes are scheduled to start again around November, check their website for updates and to grab your place on a course so you can ready to look great on the ice for the London Winter Ice Rinks!

Big place, not so crowded, up to 2 hours in the evening, and at affordable prices.

However, You might need to save some 💸, to get " a good bum massage treat the day after," in case you are as bad as I am ice-skating!!

Good luck and enjoy......

Not COVID safe! So many people in the rink it was impossible to maintain distance. Spoke to a member of staff about concerns, was told the upper limit per session was 100 people and that’s within regulations. This was not notified in the booking website.

100 people without masks skating around the length of an ice rink for an hour? Not only impossible to socially distance but also making for a poor skating experience with the mix of experienced skaters at high speeds and young children falling down. Hope they can adjust it to at most 50 people per session.
