The Princess of India, Morden

Loved this gem of a place. The atmosphere was cosy, family friendly & happy. The buffet is a great choice at only £6.99, eat as much as you like, with a large choice of delicious foods to choose from. Drinks are generous & a cup of tea very good.......... Loved the coconut ice cream served in half a coconut shell (which I was allowed to keep 😁 & perfect for making a fat & mixed seed treat for the birds) the dessert was the perfect size for the two of us. Lovely friendly staff.

Good value all-you-can-eat buffet. The dishes are mainstream Anglo-asian tandoori stuff that wouldn't look out of place in the 1980s, so don't expect anything 'wow', but a decent opportunity to stuff your face if you're really hungry for curry. No alcohol served.

AWFUL, AWFUL SERVICE!!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would!! Friends and I booked table for 7:30pm. Got to restaurant around 7:25pm. Made to stand OUTSIDE for 20 minutes while others were let in. Staff kept saying to give them five minutes…EVERY five minutes. We finally decided we had had enough and went in. We were shown to an unclean table. When we commented that there were crumbs on the table, a male staff person asked us what the issue was and proceeded to brush the crumbs off the table ONTO US!!!!! We were ABSOLUTELY GOBSMACKED!!!!! Incredulously, staff person didn’t seem to understand what he had done wrong. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t stay long enough to taste it!!

On a positive note, after we left that horrible place, we ended up at a lovely Chinese restaurant close by called China Garden, where service was absolutely brilliant and the food was very well presented and oh so tasty!! I don’t have to say which restaurant WE will be going back to!😃

Wow, wow and wow.... Absolutely the best curries I have ever experienced.
Portion sizes are good and the quality of fare exceptional. Have now managed to persuade all the family to dine here.

Absolutely awful experience from the minute we arrived. A few members of staff were very rude and didn't care that me and my children were left standing in the cold for 35 minutes. Apparently it was our fault as we should of known that having a booking didn't mean that we get our table at that time and we have to wait like every one else. His words "we don't take deposits so we can't guarantee you a table, do you want me to serve you or not" (So why have a pre booking system then if you can just turn up?!) No apologies for the long wait, miserable staff, cold food, dirty tables and the list goes on...PLEASE AVOID

Very good food. Large, well presented tables and restaurant tidy restaurant with a classic 'help yourself all you can eat' counter. The food was very flavoursome and filling. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and return again. If you're after Indian cuisine all you can eat help yourself buffet this is the place to go.

Great price all you can eat and good choice of buffet items. Somewhat busier than expected for mid-week, so they'd ran out of some buffet dishes, didn't return for a 3rd plate but I'm fairly certain they'd have been refilled. Quite noisy due to a couple of large parties.

Orderd food at 5pm and it didn't arrive until 6.30pm. Food was cold and watery. They forgot some of our order so we called up to ask them to bring the missing item. An hour and a half later and we are still waiting, who knows when it will turn up. Every time we ring the restaurant they say the guy has already left. Will not be going back here. Could probably accept the horrendous wait time if the food was good.
