The Rajmahal Tandoori Restaurant

Ordered a Vegetable Jalfrazi and two Garlic naans from this restaurant for take away (as dine-in wasn't available) while we were visiting Dover. The food was ready quickly and hot, which was very good. The naans were fluffy and delicious, but the curry was disappointing. While the curry tasted good, it was mainly onions instead of vegetables. I would say almost 50% of the curry was onions, which was excessive. It would have been nice if the curry was mainly vegetables. The prices were very affordable, so can't complain on that front.

Food was good…staff was attentive.
Have a dedicated car park but not sure if that’s sufficient for a several cars.

We have used The Rajmahal for take aways on several occasions and the food has always been great , so we decided it was time for a sit down. Today was our second visit , and we weren't disappointed, food was lovely, staff were friendly and service was fast. Will definitely be returning and would definitely recommend.

Only popped in here for a quick bite to eat on way down to the Harbour to catch a ferry. The curry ended up being one of the best curries I've ever eaten. Really tender chicken breast and the sauce was really flavoursome. Mushroom rice was amazing. Not greasy or oily and the naan bread was also really well cooked. Couldn't have asked for a better evening meal.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Simply amazing. We had the sampler plate as a starter, followed by butter chicken, chili chicken, saag aloo, and coconut ice cream. Each dish was fantastic.

Had a take away tonight Pilau rice hard the 2 chicken Kormas were cold had to microwave it. Tray the rice was in discoloured not sure if this is normal offered discount of next meal however after tonights experience wont be ordering another.

UPDATE:
With reference to review and your response we found the rice and Korma were cold. it was on our plate and we put our plates with the food on in the microwave not the tin trays the rice came in. this is how we found the trays when the rice was first put on our plates. the pilau rice was hard had the rice been microwaved in these foil trays when they were cooked. I still have the trays. I thought I spoke to the owner at the time last night the only thing that was offered was a discount next time no offer to put it right last night.

The food was fantastic, delicious, good texture, good portions, well priced. The service was excellent until it was time for the bill. Despite asking the waiter for separate bills before ordering, which he said would be no problem, when it came to the bill they didn't want to provide us with separate receipts. We politely pointed out that we needed separate bills for expenses and received a long tirade from the waiter about how our employer was stupid and he didn't like them.
