Completely over priced (+50%) and the supposedly "large portions" used as justification by the person taking the order were just average in size. Neither authentic Southern Indian, Northern Indian or traditional British Indian dishes - strange versions of the common dishes and were not particularly enjoyable. This is what happens when there is a lack of competition in a market. I would not recommend this take-away nor ever frequent them ever again.

I spy a very mixed bag of reviews for this place but I've always found it decent. Unlike some places the vindaloo isn't just all chilli powder it's got better flavours than that and the other dishes are fine too.

The guy on the phone when you call your order in is a delight to talk to, he's a real salesman. Almost makes me feel guilty if I don't order a million poppadoms and naan breads (with associated pickles, chutneys and sides).

Yeah, it's on the expensive side and yes, sometimes it seems to take an age for them to cook it but we just wander over the road to the pub for a pre-dinner pint while we wait.

Good stuff.

Sorry team but I was pretty disappointed with your food tonight. It's the first time I've had your food. I'm down for the weekend from London. Maybe I'm spoilt but that was the blandest Indian food I've ever had. Chicken Biryani had no cardoman or any other normal ingredients in it And the rice was sticky And moist.most unusual. And the sauce has sweet corn and sprouts in it. Then the butter chicken had a bright red sauce around it. It was almost sweet and sour but in a bad way. Never seen or tasted butter chicken like it. Finally the Korma was like eating baby food it was so bland. No flavour and richness of almonds nothing. Other reviews and even a chap I met waiting for their takeaway said the food was worth the wait however I couldn't agree less. I could do better with a jar of Pataks sorry but you need to up the flavour and make something worth eating. Next time I'm in town it'll be a Sainsbury Indian takeaway and I get to save money too. This place is perpetrating a crine against indian cuisine I feel sorry for the people of Martock and surrounding villages. I'm To top it off the service is slow, its expensive and staff are arrogant. I wish I could give it no stars.

Said 40 mins for order. An hour later and we're still waiting!. Shouldn't have bothered. Esp as food is actually a bit blah. It was an hour to wait for Indian delivery from Viceroy in Yeovil. We should have gone with them. Food is better, costs less and they were up front about waiting times! Won't order from these guys again

We've been eating here since they first opened. The portions are big and the price is fair.
Recently they seem to have new staff, in fairness the service has improved considerably. The food however, has not. It used to be restaurant quality now it is just a bit rubbish. We will not go back again, £24 for two main courses and a naan is a bit steep for what is a poor meal.

Expensive and mediocre. If I pay almost £9 for a main course - no side dish, rice etc - I expect it to last for two meals. This one barely filled me up even though I added my own rice; the lamb was a bit tough and flavour bland. If this place was in Brick Lane ... well they wouldn’t survive a week.

Delicious food! You often get free additions too. Sometimes you have to wait a while longer than the pickup time, so we just order it about 10 minutes earlier than any other takeaway if we’re ordering from multiple places. 🙂

This Indian takeaway never fails to produce some of the best Indian food. And the free poppadoms are always appreciated. Delicious food, great service, highly recommended.
