Ordered three pizzas off the menu (over the phone) at 1840. Was told 30-40 minutes wait. Arrived to collect my pizza at 1920 and was told my order "was just coming".
After waiting another 35 minutes the pizzas and being repeatedly told "just two more minutes" numerous times, my pizzas were handed over to me. We then drove home (they don't deliver) and upon arrival at our accommodation vdiscovered how nasty the pizzas actually were (see pictures).
It is impossible that the catering team were not aware of this - the bases were so burnt that they were unable to actually slice the pizzas right through. Not only that but it's obviously burned all around the edges. It's a clear example of lack of respect for paying customers.
I am genuinely disgusted and strongly suggest that no one eats here.
Additionally, while I was waiting for my food (it was a long wait) a gentleman returned a burger he had ordered as it was raw. The staff behind the counter offered to heat it up for him (incredible) but sensibly and with some obvious anger he demanded a refund.
While some of the managers comments to other peoples negative feedback might appear amusing, it is clear that the restaurant doesn't take any such complaints seriously as the problems raised are just repeated.
And what is most sad of all, this take away is at the bottom of one of Wales' most popular mountains and as such has a captive audience of exhausted and hungry people who likely take their food and go home at the end of a long day and are too tired to complain.
Finally if the food was good I could overlook the ridiculous waiting time. But I honestly wish I had given up waiting after an hour and brought a pasty in a plastic bag at the local Spa instead and microwaved it back at the accomodation. It would have been edible at the very least.
For some reason I wasn't able to place any order in Just Eat, it kept telling me that they weren't taking orders which was quite annoying. I then called to place an order on pick up and was told to hold the line and left hanging for minutes just listening to the staff chat between themselves, it didn't seem like he was serving anyone or anything important so I just hung up and drove there. The place was empty so again confused to why they weren't taking orders online and why they left me hanging on the phone...
However the pizza was made fairly quickly and it actually looked and smelt really good. When I got back to my accommodation I ate it and it seemed better than expected. The pizza was a thin and crispy style, which isn't particularly my favourite but it was done pretty good, apart from the crust. The crust was rock hard and quite hard to eat. However the rest of the meat feast pizza was pretty okay.
I'd definitely recommend the place for their price and being limited in the area, however unless you've got really strong teeth I'd be careful as I totally could have chipped a tooth of that crust.
I'm sorry to write this review but the pizza was disgusting. It had dried chicken, was like a brick to eat. We threw it away. Both pizzas were rock hard.
The cheese seemed far to liquidy. The burger bun was pure white and sloppy. The fries were so small they were hard. The burger was off colour in centre.
Sorry but the food you gave us was not edible. Also, the restaurant has peeling wallpaper, dirty doors, dirty floors, lights hanging off ceiling. It is just poorly managed in my opinion. I've requested a refund from Just Eat as we are now buying a second tea.
It could be excellent with some changes. I had no faith in the people serving me as they ran fingers through hair and rubbed beard whilst handling food.
We won't be back.
