I went in with a broken chain on the locket my Grandad gave my Nan over 60 years ago (given to me on my 21st birthday)… Turns out the chain isn’t real gold and so it couldn’t be soldered, everywhere else I was told to buy a new chain, but in David Mellor they took it out the back and closed the broken link there and then, free of charge, because they understood the sentimental value to me ✨💛

I took in a badly damaged signet ring - my Dad's wedding ring as it happens - the team in Eastleigh are so friendly and helpful, very professional and a pleasure to do business with. The ring was fixed in their workroom, attached to the shop (and viewable from outside via a glass panel in the wall) and it looks brilliant. I requested that the engraved monogram was left as it was - and it was - while the rest was restored and polished beautifully.
Also bought a lovely plain silver ring, I've been looking for one for ages. Will definitely go there again if looking for jewellery.

We brought in a gold bracelet with a broken clasp and your assistant Elyse was able to repair the clasp while we waited. We were extremely pleased and would like to say how professional and helpful she was with a welcoming and friendly demeanor.
