Picketts & Pursers

We aren't local but I happened to browse the window of Picketts and Pursers a few weeks ago whilst in Petersfield and fell in love with a ring. I couldn't forget it and have just returned from purchasing it.

This establishment is amazing, a nod to bygone years when service and courtesy was a normal expectation. And yet totally up to date. The service my husband and I received has been second to none, from the information given on my ring of choice, to having it re-sized and the level of concern and care shown by Lee to ensure it was a perfect fit. Cared for throughout the whole process. This was not a huge monetary purchase in the great scheme of things in jewellery terms, but precious to us. We were treated as valued clients and made to feel special. Absolutely remarkable in this day and age and I have to say the purchase experience has been as valuable as the ring.

You are not ushered off the premises with a wave once the purchase is made, they invite you to return to have the ring cleaned if passing and ensure you are aware that nothing is too much trouble. I am so glad I walked through the door that day. Unique experience, and so appreciated. Thank you, Lee and Team.

I went in hoping to get a battery fitted to a watch which unfortunately is rather to big and it also takes four batteries at once. But the size was to big and they said I should find a specialist shop dealing with this sort of watch. They were very nice & knowledgeable staff. And very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate in taking a normal size watch to them. They also have a wonderful shop filled with nice jewelry and ornaments.

I love this Jeweller. The staff is super polite and they know watches very well. It is always joy to come here and for the value and service I get here , I'm happy to pay.

I Took my brand new Lorus watch, which I got direct from Lorus, in to have some links removed which they did quickly and efficiently. I then realised there was a problem with the strap which Natalie sent back to Lorus and got it all sorted. She was absolutely fantastic, friendly helpful and definitely went above and beyond to get things sorted for me. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, absolutely brilliant.

Excellent service, brilliant knowledgeable staff, no request too much trouble! Great variety of items on offer and if not in stock, staff happy to obtain to offer clients a choice .

After phoning and explaining what we were after, James was fully prepared and careful went over all points. We are delighted with our purchase of the diamond and sapphire eternity ring. With the workshop on the premises our rings were quickly enlarged and cleaned and we left totally satisfied with the professional and polite manner of the staff at Picketrs and Pursers especially Mr James Taylor.

If you are looking for outstanding service this is the place to go. I cannot honestly say how their prices compare to other jewellers, but they do not seem to be particularly excessive. Anything from a battery replacement to major spend, their care and attention is unrivalled.
They have just serviced and repaired a vintage watch which I had been told was unrepairable (by another establishment). It has enormous sentimental value and they have been amazingly kind and thoughtful throughout.
