My partner initially bought me a ring from Argos at a much lower price but decided that he wanted to upgrade my ring after I had a baby. Mind you the Cheap Argos ring still looks as good as new 3 years later! He gave me a budget and said I should find a ring and found the most beautiful ring from Warren James within my budget. I remember asking the lady whether everything would stay intact because the price was just too good to be true. She reassured me that everything was real and the ring should stay the same. 3 months later the stones around the ring started falling out. One had fallen out on Friday evening and by the time Monday came 3 in total had come off! I was gravely disappointed but reassured that Warren James would be able to get it fixed or at least replace the ring! Walked into the Nuneaton branch and was told that the ring was bent and that that is the reason why the stones had fallen off. Confused I tried to remember how I possibly could have BENT a ring, metal whilst wearing it! I loved this ring so much that after purchasing it I went to the website to read how best to look after it and my family would testify that I never wore it showering, washing the dishes, washing the baby or doing any household activities. Therefore there is NO WAY I WOULD HAVE BENT THAT RING! I explained this to the 2 women there and I think they had seen a black woman on the other side of the till and made up their mind about me! They were not even willing to understand that I didn’t bend the ring. One even suggested that I knocked the ring on the door and that’s how it got bent? Because she lives with me? And also are black people made out of steel that they can bang their fingers on doors, not break their fingers but bend rings? I’m making this about race because nothing else makes sense to me. I left the ring and walked off because I was not going to start arguing with 2 people who were unwilling to listen. I will be making formal complaints. Never been treated so poorly and oppressively in my whole entire existence. If I could give 0 stars I would.
