Really excellent, independent jeweller in the centre of Guildford. Made the choice of engagement ring and wedding bands an easy process, and we really didn't feel any pressure to buy either time. I imagine Filip gets a lot of return customers over the years because of the quality, and he sells more than just engagement/wedding rings.

N.b. it is a very small shop where he can only deal with 2 people at a time (and there's no room to browse the shop around those 2 people), so it's worth making an appointment if you're pushed for time. He also needs to buzz you in through the door on Swan Ln.

I found the owner at Marquise of Guildford, Jewelry Mr Filip Loots very helpful. I went to browse rings and found that the he was genuinely interested in helping me find the best ring for my budget. My now fiance loved the final product and the process was made a lot easier because of all the assistance I received from Filip. He was very patient when it came to answering my questions and he explained me in detail what to look for in diamonds and helped me make the final decision on the model. I loved the shopping experience and I highly recommend this place! I will be returning there for our wedding bands.

Filip showed us a beautiful selection of eternity rings and I found the perfect one.
It was so perfect, but I felt we couldn't buy it in the first jewellers we visited, so, to satisfy my curiosity, we asked Filip to hold it for us, while I checked elsewhere.
We then went to all the jewellers in Guildford... but nothing compared to the quality (incl M&W), clarity, colour...and yet the price was also less than some of the other luxury jewellers in town.
After trying on many other rings which just didn't match 'The One' in Marquise of Guildford, I couldn't wait to run back and collect the one I'd chosen!

No prices displayed and we were hesitant to say our budget upfront as was rudely demanded of us, as we didn’t want to then get inflated prices! Very much a Pretty Woman moment - looked at each other & immediately agreed we wouldn’t want to buy from someone who didn’t inject any joy into the proceedings!

Recently stopped by to see if Filip could resize a ring for my Fiancee which was a family heirloom. Not only did Filip recognise me from having bought an engagement ring and wedding bands in the last few years, he provided a fantastic service in a fraction of the time (and cost) of a well known highstreet chain. I should have left a review previously for the excellent and patient service he's provided before but couldn't not leave one now. Simply put, wonderful customer service and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
