Payne & Son Oxford

The staff at Payne & Son are beyond professional & helpful! Having broken a golden necklace gifted to me by my mum (which was originally hers), I was looking to get it fixed. I went to a different jeweller in Oxford to begin with who quoted me £45 for the fix, as well as a 2 week wait. I then came across Payne & Son so I thought I'd pop in to compare prices for the fix. The gentleman who had a look at my necklace, suggested to swap out the weak chain-link (which was broken) for another stronger one which would prevent it from snapping again. He said he could get it done right now as it would only take a couple of minutes, as there was no need for soldering. It was also free of charge which I thought was very kind of him. I was very happy to have come across them, and whilst we waited, we had a look at their gorgeous selection of jewellery!!

If I could I would give them 10 stars. I needed a bespoke engagement ring made with an heirloom stone at relatively short notice before I went travelling and Max worked tirelessly with me to make sure we could design and make the ring on time, to an excellent quality, and incorporating all the design features I wanted. She loved it. An excellent service!

The lady who served me was impatient, rude and unprofessional. While I was talking she kept interrupting and didn't really want to listen. Very disappointed with the service.

We got our wedding rings here and it was just such a beautiful experience for us to be taken care of with such a homely feel the whole time. They explained exactly what kind of ring would be best and managed to get our order back to us in record time.

Such a lovely shop with gorgeous displays of gleaming silver and sparkling jewellery ..and such a happy shopping experience with very helpful and attentive staff. Everything one hopes for in luxury shopping.. but sadly so rare these days.
