Nice jewellers. Do repairs, watches etc, and really kindly will search for pieces you want if they don't have them in and get them for you.
Some unusual ranges in store so you can get something a little bit different. Good assistants who will help and advise you if you need a little help making your selection.

It is one of the best jewellers in the area, I travel from Lancaster to go, they are extremelly helpful and can't do enough, they will give you advice and if it's not in stock they will get it for you. Also if you order something and when it arrives its not what you want anymore, they dont mind, its not a problem they understand. We went to a couple of jewellers nearer to home and their after service care was appalling, they were only interested in getting your money there and then, then it was adios. If the jewellers had bothered to treat us properly they would have had a lot of business from us, they seemed to just be interested in one large sale and then they don't care, but even small amounts soon add up,( we were not just buying one item , and even if it was we should of been treated properly )and they would of had a lot of repeat business from us, as we like our jewellery and watches , they lost a lot of custom as we have told a lot of friends and family who would have bought from them to go up to see Peter Jackson in Kendal.

I bought a watch from here for my husband at Xmas, which was too small, so went back for larger strap. They said they'd have to order one from Weird Fish. It was April before we were told the straps wouldn't be arriving. Had to choose again. Just thought they could have been more attentive and updated us more regularly. Won't go back.

My husband took in his thick gold chain which needed a new clasp. He was quoted £45. He picked it up two weeks later - the store did not return the faulty clasp to him. Even though the clasp was broken, the weight of it was 1gm. My husband should have had it returned to him so he could claw some money back by selling the clasp to a scrap gold buyer. Disgusted to be honest! I wonder what happened to the clasp and who collected the money it was worth???!!!

I sent my grandfather's old watch off to Dan Hodge at Cumbria Watch Repair (located at Morgan Banks) and I am so glad I did. He kept me well-informed throughout the process and charged a very honourable price. I could not be happier with the end product. Would highly recommend!
