Jon Dibben - Jewellery Designer

Jon Dibben provide everything a high street jewellers cannot, because with an independent designer it's personal! Jon and his team really care about the jewellery they produce and their enthusiasm and commitment to producing a wedding ring that we would absolutely love, was evident. It was fantastic to be able to sit down and take time with Jon to discuss ideas for my wedding ring. The resulting piece of jewellery was stunning and I would recommend his services to anyone wishing to have something unique made for them.

I am lucky enough to have three of Jon's rings. All three are stunningly beautiful ( the photos just don't do them justice....). The attention to detail & quality of his work is without equal. Jon's trademark is his artistry, skill & craftsmanship which is exquisitely abundant in every piece. I feel immensely privileged & like a million dollars every time I wear them! Jon was amazingly helpful in discussing our design ideas and making the wonderful engagement ring. We are all on budgets and so Jon was also very helpful in discussing our differing needs for our wedding bands and for making/arranging our rings for us. I contacted Jon regarding an engagement ring after stalking my then girlfriends Instagram account! Jon was brilliant, amazing customer service and only to happy to help. Although her “favourite” ring was out of budget he suggested some alternate options that may suit, all this without her actually knowing anything about it. We finally settled on a beautiful ring, which I’m pleased to say she adores and yes, she said yes! 12 months on we got married this June and Jon also provided a beautiful wedding ring to compliment the engagement ring. When my son was born, I commissioned a birth ring from Jon Dibben for his mother to say thank you. It is a beautiful flower design with two Burmese rubies and a diamond, set in gold.

Thirty years later we wanted to buy our son a signet ring to celebrate his birthday, and his mother and I decided to have a signet ring made at Jon Dibben incorporating a Burmese ruby to connect the two rings.

It has been an experience that we will always remember. Hannah was wonderful to work with: professional, creative, patient and great fun to be around. She made every single stage an enjoyable experience and guided us through the process perfectly.

At our first meeting with Hannah, we talked about our ideas and the choice of materials and our budget. Over subsequent meetings along with our son we discussed the design (and Hannah interpreted our ideas perfectly), examined the rendering that Hannah produced, selected the ruby with Hannah’s guidance and saw the unfinished ring in the workshop. Then the last visit, to collect the polished, hallmarked piece with the ruby inset. It was everything I had originally pictured, only much better.

We could have bought a ring off a tray from any high street jeweller, and no doubt we would have been pleased with it. But what we bought from Jon Dibben was something special and truly unique. There will never be another ring like this, with this story. It is an heirloom that is part of our family history, just as the birth ring is.

Jon first made beautiful rings for my wedding over 20 years ago. I still wear mine on the other hand, and my daughter wears her Dads on a chain around her neck. Getting married for a second time I wanted to go back to Jon, to have the personal touch and beautiful hand crafted design for such an important and meaningful event. The whole experience was so brilliant. My partner understood immediately why I wanted to have the rings made by Jon. The whole process of choosing rings with Hannah was really fun. No pressure at all. So different from an impersonal jewellers where one ring at a time is bought out and hurriedly taken away. There was no sales pitch, just lots of fun and trying on lots and lots of lovely rings. The diamond engagement ring I have chosen is so beautiful, as is the matching wedding ring. I feel so happy when I look at them. If you want an uplifting experience with beautifully made jewellery all around you that means something, then it's the place for you.

My wife cherishes the jewellery we have acquired from Jon Dibben - obviously- it is beautiful. I have to extend our thanks to Hannah for looking after us on our recent visit, and adding so much value in giving us a steer to the find the right piece. This was a high-end bespoke experience. Hannah was almost as excited as we were when we went to collect the ring after they had re-sized it. And more, she very kindly offered to clean a necklace for us - and gave us a lot of sensible advice on caring for our treasures.
It is reassuring that the shop is also the workshop where the pieces are designed and crafted, and that the materials are fair trade and responsibly sourced. Please do not hesitate to go and visit them.

Absolutely stunning designs and exceptional customer service! I have a gorgeous sapphire meadow engagement ring, plus wedding and eternity rings after 10 years of marriage from Jon Dibben. Nothing is too much trouble for Jon and his team - even resizing from as far away as Edinburgh! Highly recommend :)
