Rude, obnoxious owner and staff. Completely made my wife feel awful by telling her the ring she had purchased was a fake and hardly worth considering insuring. Cowboys, avoid at a all costs. If I could give a lower rating I would.

Got quoted £100 to have a ring made 2 sizes smaller ( it's a diamond cut white gold band)
Went to a posh jewellers down the road, £25! Or £55 with the special finish.

Over charging by £75 definitely deserved this review. Disgusting

Great customer service. Excellent value for gold, quick removal of charms from charm bracelet and I'm now the happy owner of a beautiful, silver letter opener.

I took some Italian gold in here that I was told was fake because it wasn't heavy enough. I mentioned I had my doubts about the chain and was pretty sure it was plated but the crucifix had a hallmark. He said it was fraudulent.

So I took it to an expert in London who said that it's to do with the way Italian gold is made differently. They hollow out the gold sometimes so 18c might not weigh what you would expect. He gave me 350 quid for something the man here told me was fake hallmarked.

Three stars because it's just a question of expertise in certain areas and we can't be an expert in everything. It would be higher but I took exception to being told I "knew already" that it was fake. Despite knowing there must of course be lots of people that try to blagg things like this, I think the benefit of the doubt about people's honesty wouldn't hurt.

I'm not saying don't go here, I'm saying probably don't go here with Italian gold. Nor am I questioning honesty at all. I am just taking exception to the impression I got that he was questioning mine.
