Liz and the team at chatburn don’t just board our dogs, they truly care for them. Our beagles are 14 and 9, so we’ve used a few kennels over the years and this business is by far and away the best one.

Nothing is too much trouble. The place is immaculate, and the dogs are treated to fantastic walks in one of Cumbrias most beautiful rural areas. It’s call Eden Valley for a reason!

We have used them well over 10 times in our few years in Cumbria and always been amazing!

I would not for a second hesitate to recommend Liz and the team to take care of your pets. Our beagles are always happy to see where they are going and love to stay here with their friends.

We would highly recommend Chatburn Kennels, which has very efficient, caring and professional staff and where our dog recently enjoyed his two night stay. The kennels are clean and our dog was well-looked after and fussed over as he enjoys attention., which is important. Chatburn is a wonderful, friendly and caring kennels. It's always a delight to see Liz, Georgia and the rest of the team, who work hard to give the dogs a great experience. Our dogs love their visits here, they've been on countless occasions and we wouldn't use anywhere else. For anyone local or visiting the area, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chatburn. We always use Chatburn Kennels and are always extremely happy with the service of the friendly and caring staff. My dog always comes home extremely happy, and healthy and always look so clean! The kennels are very clean, spacious and the staff are excellent. We will definitely continue to use Chatburn in the future, would highly recommend!!

Was recommended these kennel left my dogs for 5 nights hoping they would be ok was a little apprehensive as when we left i noticed vicious dog in a kennel near ours I found the owner on our return to pick up our dogs most rude saying my dogs stunk and could not be walked very rude and upsetting they are young bright intelligent border collie dogs and have wonderful spirits with calm temperaments and very loveable the owner said they couldn’t be walked ! So why do these business people charge all the money they do and expect perfect dogs perfect looking and perfect smelling dogs they need to emphasise what kind of dogs they want in there kennels not dogs that enjoy there life outdoors like ours advertise for dogs that come straight from crufts it would suit them fine ! My dogs are now home in the garden playing and enjoy there freedom Not sitting in a bath beware of how you are spoken to I never even got a thank you for my payment !!! After owners reply I would like to point out no 1. husband would come back and naturally relay conversation no 2. Was a very nasty personal comment! on my disabled husbands dancing skills as the poor man has severe spinal stenosis no 3.after visiting my vets the next day dogs health checked and clean bill of health from vet when asking him if any of my dogs smelt vet and nurse both said no!!!! Dogs were very healthy no 4 as said before did only enquire to book the dogs in and was abruptly told we are closed then owner said we can’t walk them! ! these 2 dogs are young dogs any large dog pulls at this age especially collies because they sway which is a natural ! there instinct does this any dog expert would tell you this so when booking young strong dogs the kennels should ask the question can they be walked or are they pullers no they don’t ask because it’s a business and they would loose many customers there’s a lot of pullers out there huskies German Shepard’s collies etc I think after the unprofessional personal comments left on there reply we are grateful we were told chatburn Kennels were closed on our dates over xmas

One star is too much! Towards the end of November my wife booked our dog Ausie in Chatburns for two weeks starting from the 24th January. My wife made curtesy call to confirm it on the 17th January and was told they are closed for annual leave. In other words hard luck you will need to find some where else. All I can say that it's a good job we didn't turn up on the day; we would have been stood there with no where to go because of their ineptitude.

Phoned booked dog in just after Xmas at time lady seemed rushed but having used before was sure she had details dates , phoned this morning to confirm I would be dropping dog of at 9 next wednesday oooh she says we closed then !!!! What !!!! Panick !!! Thank u chatburn !!!!

Another lovely experience for our dogs at these kennels. Knowing that they will have loving care gives us peace of mind to relax on holiday. Thank you again for looking after Loki and Kaora 🥰
