South Croydon Wow Launderette Croydon

During covid times this place is really uncomfortable with less space to move and no restriction on number of people can be inside.
12 washing machines and 10 large dryers (2 out of order when writing this). Also priority of drier use is for those using their washing machine. Fair enough. Comparing with another place the machines are not latest and not efficient. The major downside is that this place is in town center with very limited parking if you manage to find one outside.

Very rude staff. Got there at 6pm to do just a wash which takes 45 minutes. Was told that I could not do one as they have a cut off point. When I said it takes 45 minutes I was told “I know but maybe you get here sooner”. Some people do have jobs they work on a Saturday.

Came in on Saturday, the 8th of October 2022 and what I normally do put my washing is on and ask for a service dry which I was charged £14.64 I came back later that evening to pick it up and I was told that there was too much washing and that I had to pay an extra £5 which I did. I was told that She didn’t know how I got all of my things in the case that there was too much and there was an extra bag which I took once I got home I started on unpacking my case to find at the top items were folded but the rest were just chucked in as if she just threw the basket straight into the case I was already getting really upset and angry by this point and then to find at least a dozen close was still wet damp but I’ve now had to drive Separately. Also my son shirt that cost him £25 was died pink .The shirt I put in the white loads with colour catcher sheets so the only way I can see it happened was if it was mixed in with the darks on the drying. I am absolutely livid about this level of service the lady in question Joan didn’t seem to really give care about what she was doing this is an absolutely disgusting service and it is not what I am used to from this Laundrette all the other women give a fantastic service. I won’t be going there again on the days that she is there.

This is the worst shop I had ever seen. Because they put the timing as 6 but the machine will closes at 4.

This place has lovely staff but management is very poor. I come every Saturday or Sunday and get told there are faulty dryers meaning I am turned away. I am a resident of South Croydon but cant utilise the service because the manager refuses to fix the faulty machines. How can you run a business when you have faulty equipment and people who need the service. It has been over a year and these machines are not fixed. I'm appalled at this service.I hear the manager is called Martin so I am expecting Martin to respond to this. Also the times on your website are incorrect. If someone needs to dry for an hour then clearly it should be factored into the times and services stated on your website. Plus the opening and closing times are generally incorrect.

The woman here was incredibly helpful. I wasn't familiar with using launderettes, she simplified the process, talked me through the machines and helped. Lovely launderette and service. Would use again and highly recommend.

Went in today for the first time but wasn’t aware of the timings, came across a very rude and blunt white lady who treated me very unprofessionally and with great disrespectful tone of voice and I’m a practicing Muslim so I didn’t answer back to her ignorance but I all I asked was “have I come too late is the laundry still running?” As there was no one in there but machines still running the lady addressed above replied “NO, NO ITS CLEARLY NOT” in a really harsh tone and this is no way to speak to your clients and customers and I am 17 years old and probably 1/3 of your age but still have learnt how to treat people around me with respect. Have an open mind and be nice to your customers.

Very bad customer service, the lady with the pink hair is always rude to the customers and always would stop me from drying my cloths for no reason. Today I had to go to work in 1 hour, came quickly to dry my cloths she said that she she can’t allow just to dry the cloths because I didn’t wash from their store. And she also added that those who doesn’t wash from their laundry can’t dry their cloths from there. This is absolutely not fair, she has no consideration for others and their time.
