I actually worked at Courtyard for 5 years but am writing a review as I feel some of the other reviews here are biased towards being unfair and are also vindictive.

I know some of the clients who have written reviews here have 'axes to grind' with Courtyard and Sean White, not all of them however and those clients I do not know their situations.

Sean gives honest, straightforward and practical advice and is always available via email or phone to give advice. I can quite honestly say that for every client who gives a bad review I know personally a lot of clients who would give a good review and recommend him.

Personally if I am undertaking legal transactions Sean and his team are the ones I would come to first and I have personally recommended him to a few friends especially with regard to conveyancing matters.

Over the past 18 months I have used Courtyard Solicitors for a number of legal issues including establishing a power of attorney for myself and other members of my family, writing my will and extending the lease on a leasehold property. The service I have received is excellent. Good communication and updates and good at simplifying legal language. Prompt action on all issues. Nice people to deal with and very sensitive when dealing with my elderly Mum. Would recommend.

Dealt with Courtyard Solicitors for the purchase of my flat 5 years ago and its sale more recently. Sean was friendly, professional and worked quickly when under pressure to close the deal due to my buyers' mortgage offer expiring. Value for money. Would recommend.

I was very much helped by Sean White at the Wimbledon branch of Courtyard solicitors, Sean White is great polite kind caring and very knowledgeable he was very efficient always chasing and dealing with my problem straight away.
If Anyone I know needs a solicitor I’ll recommend Sean White for sure without a doubt, also whenever I go to the building it’s very clean and the staff are so sweet and helpful.

I notice the following reviews date from three years ago, and this firm is unrecognisable from my experience of it. The service was appallingly unprofessional: after I had paid his fee Jonathan Green did not respond to emails or phone messages. After six weeks he emailed with incorrect advice as he had clearly misremembered details from our meeting. He also never provided a letter in hard copy, which he had promised. Since then he has ignored my request to reduce or refund his fee. Likewise the senior partner, Sean White, has remained silent. Disgraceful service, and a waste of money.

Sean helped to create a smooth process for us with our first home purchase and answered our many questions! Good reliable service.

Do not use this firm if you are needing a solicitor to assist in a divorce. Please go elsewhere , I wish I could share how this firm has treated me since March 2020 and the nightmare continues. Months later divorce done but things which should have been sent to the court have not been sent. My emails remain unanswered as do those of my ex partners solicitor. Have lodged a complaint with the ombudsman. Really appalling service and not a good way to treat a human being.

Appalling service from Sean White who doesn't respond to emails/calls and getting basic information wrong like my home address, misspelt names etc...
