Avoid!! The pressure they tried to put my partner’s mother under concerning equity release, I really worry for elderly people without someone to step in for them. It’s all about money, money, money with this firm. My sister also had a very bad experience with their over inflated fees which started with a reasonable ‘estimate’ and escalated dramatically without explanation. As I said, avoid like the plague!

These people are a bunch of crooks. They caused my family extreme distress and I am in the process of reporting them to the law society. They are thoroughly dishonest. They tried to make out that I wasn't my mother's son so that they could steal a load of money from my mother's grandchildren. I would strongly advise to not have anything to do with these con artists.

The only good thing I can say about my conveyancing experience with Ashfords is that everyone was pleasant/polite. The work though was simply appalling - shoddy with poor attention to detail. They had to send 3 TR1 forms before getting it right. They then 'sat on' our documents for 3 months before acting on them. In fact the only matter handled by Ashfords with efficiency and alacrity was their response to my written complaint. Land Registry then took 6 months to register the changes - no fault of Ashfords of course. I just wish I'd read these Google reviews before instructing them!

I highly recommend Solicitors from Ashfords LLP. Quick contact, quick reply to sent emails. I have used their services several times over the past few years and I always return to their services when selling property and buying another property. Full satisfaction with their actions. In my opinion, they are very professional and very reliable, they can always find a solution. Thanks to the easy and quick contact via email, it is nice and pleasant to work with them, which makes life much easier, especially when you have a shortage of time on a daily basis.

We cannot fault the service we had from Ashfords for the sale and purchase of our property’s. Charlotte and Jodie are a great team and made the whole process very stress free. Communication was amazing, we always had a reply within the hour. We have already recommended them to our friends and family. Thank you to you both for all your hard work!!

Unlawful data sharing (upheld by the ICO) in a contentious situation, historic dates given as deadlines & a "legal professional" who doesn't know the difference between a "bequest" & a "request"...oh dear Ashfords...

If I could give a minus to this firm I definitely would. I applied for equity release and I’ve found the communication so poor. Mislaid paperwork etc etc. After one final push to find out what the completion date was, we finally were notified by the equity company that it completed yesterday. I’ve now called 3 times to fathom out when we are to receive the funds. I’ve been promised calls back by a supervisor but this didn’t happen again. My poor mother of 76 is at her wits end, asking me what the delay is and why aren’t they calling back. My emails were not replied to and I haven’t had a call back. My poor reception at this company simply says I’ll get someone to call as no one are picking up! And that just doesn’t happen

Charlotte Slater recently acted for us when selling and buying our new home. She went above and beyond for us and did all she could to get us in by Christmas, it was starting to look like we weren’t going to make it, but she made it happen. Always got a reply from my emails, and always knew what was happening. If we ever need to sell again I’ll be going back to Ashfords and requesting Charlotte.
