Very bad experience with this firm which is still not sorted. They have caused a major negative impact on my family matter in court.

Do your homework when choosing a firm. **Top tip**, Google SRA and the firm you are considering, for example 'SRA crosse and crosse' and decide if one bad apple spoils the bunch. It definitely has/does from my experience.

I've used Crosse and Crosse for a couple of house purchases now. Always available on the phone and very responsive. Great at explaining things clearly. Highly recommended!

Under advice from Crosse and Crosse, I ended up divorced without getting my financial settlement until some six years later. It caused huge hardship to me and my daughter during this time. They seemed unable to bring any pressure to bear on my ex husband to get what was rightfully mine. In the end, I took my business to a solicitor in Bristol who phoned my ex husband out of hours in order to speak to him, insisted that he pay interest on a daily basis and threatened to take him to court, all of which resulted in me getting my settlement within twelve months. Crosse and Crosse cost me dearly both financially and during the terrible time I had wondering if I could keep a roof over my head. They would do well to consider their clients as people.

Seems like my experience with this firm is similar to people on the negative side of the reviews. You either get a brilliant or terrible service, mine was terrible.

I needed a solicitor to deal with an agreement with my employer but had been given a 10 day period to respond. I phoned and explained what was needed and was told that one of the partners deals specifically with those cases. I seemed confident that they would be in touch(they had my email address and phone number). I ended up using a service based online as I waited too long for them to respond. I understand that it's not always possible to get an appointment, but a simple email or phone call to explain they were too busy would have been a courtesy.

The irony being was that my employers were paying the legal fees and had left it uncapped.

I personally can't speak highly enough. How Cross & Cross solicitors dealt with my personal injurie claim.
From the moment they took my claim on, I was kept informed. They were always there for me, even if I needed on going extra help while the claim was on going.

Even afterwards when the claim was finalised. Cross & Cross were there for me.

I started my journey with Crosse & Crosse at the start of this year (2021) with the lease extension on my flat. I had never used them before, but after painstakingly searching law firms online I came across C&C through an article they contributed to on Moneysaving expert & I contacted them.
Tim was assigned my lease extension and dealt with this for me with the assistance of his colleague Johnathon. Both were professional, friendly, communicative and extremely knowledgeable in their field. As it turned out my freeholders made a booboo so Tim's job was relatively easy in this circumstance & I was rejoicing!
However, I was also looking to sell my flat & purchase at the same time & Paula was assigned to me.
Paula is absolutely fantastic & well worth every penny spent.
The sale was difficult due to obnoxious buyers and an incompetent solicitor.
Paula used her experience & knowledge every step of the way & consistently challenged my buyers solicitor when confronted with ridiculous requests. Paula consistently stepped up & dealt with any issues quickly & professionally. She was very communicative & responsive towards me.
I cannot recommend Crosse & Crosse enough.
At the time of selling I was based in London and Crosse & Crosse far surpassed most of the London firms I had considered representing me.
I will be keeping Crosse and Crosse as my solicitors for the future.

Used Crosse & Crosse family department for many years until recently. Unfortunately the customer care & communication has deteriorated. They were unable to return calls or emails within a reasonable amount of time and we were forever chasing them. Our solicitor went on maternity leave in the middle of court proceedings and the solicitor covering her work after four weeks still had not contacted us to introduce herself. This seemed to us very unprofessional and lost faith. We called the office many times, left messages & sent emails and still no response at all. As the case was getting closer & closer we had no alternative but to employ another solicitor (whom to date seems to be able to communicate efficiently) . Crosse & Crosse made no effort at all to contact us to retain our business or apologise for the lack of response. After several attempts at trying to arrange collection for my file they just handed it to me by the receptionist whom to be fair has always been friendly. My family have spent a considerable amount of money over the years with this company but sadly their lack of professionalism & customer service has deteriorated dramatically.
