As far as solicitors go these guys are expensive. They took a really long time to sort out my Grandad's estate, but the thing that made me really annoyed happened when I was buying a house. I had been going through the stages of buying a house for 10 months, and at every corner whilst trying to buy this house I was hit with unexpected things. Finally I was ready to complete but I needed another copy for my proof of funds so I asked Kevills to email my conveyancers the proof of funds.

They charged me £24 to send an email.

This is completely extortionate. They know I needed the email and that I would have had to pay what ever they state to get it. They showed no humility and they showed no compassion for the fact buying this house had been so stressful for the past 10 months.

They are a greedy horrible company.

I can't rate them a one star! Sorted out the sale of our first house after 9 months of waiting and paperwork was missing! Land registry, deeds. we had to pay a £25 fee for the land registry. We only found out after we moved out they had left them with the previous owners solicitor! When we had moved in (eventually) we had a dispute with our neighbour over a shared access, we was only aware it was for bins across which we was ok with. The neighbour would use it as a public footpath and invite her family and friends over. So we didnt want the stress. After selling and moving on we was canceling council tax and was told we cant as were only tenants so that was an argument. A woman (previous owner) had kept herself as the owner. Found out she had changed the land registry that was "missing" for the benefits of our neighbour to use it whenever she wanted. she had forged our signatures to confirm we was ok with the changes! it made our lives hell. forking out thousands to cover our back with the dispute. Avoid! Simon was dealing with it. all they want is money.

In addition to the "normal service", Kevills handled a variety of small complexities for me fairly, quickly, and efficiently. I've been impressed by the quality of service and had a good, professional experience.

Really pleased with the conveyancing service provided by Kevills, we used them for both the Sale of our old home and Purchase of a new build property.

The whole process was relatively painless and we were kept informed about every step taken along the way.

Katie was direct and professional. She always responded promptly to emails, posted the relevant forms to us without delay and went above and beyond in terms of service during the unprecedented challenge that was Covid-19. Katie made every effort to ensure that we could move home ASAP.
