David and Amanda acted as conveyancers for us in a recent house purchase and we were very pleased with the service. Crook, gone wrong advise for more money! Stay away from David Major - Major Law Guildford!
I called the Major law Guildford, asked the receptionist if they provide a letter for something. David Major called me and suggested a new approach instead of a letter that I was looking for. I made an appointment with him, when asked how much it cost he said depends on the outcome of the meeting. During the meeting it was lots of questions and interest about my nationality, country, job, etc. With respect I responded to all (although irrelevant to my purposse). Then he asked for £800! I was shocked and mentioned that I know this cost almost half of this price! He reduced it to £400! I paid £200 deposit and received the draft letter (in a way that David Major suggested) 8 weeks after. During this 8 weeks I received 4 invoice letters at my work place address (which was overwhelming, not necessary and brought me to attentions).
After receiving the draft letter I contacted David Major and asked to do not send any letter in my work place, also made a second appointment to go through the draft letter (as the draft letter was not what I was looking for, was weak and pointless)! When I arrived to David Major office in Guildford, he said he is busy and his colleague Robber will be look after me! Robbery asked me to pay the rest of the money before any communications! I refused saying this is not what I asked for and I would pay when receiving the final draft! He refused to talk! I gave my comments to him and asked for email communication with David Major. 2 weeks after my line manager informed me that she has my letter at work opened! When I contacted David Major he refused to answer before I pay!

My girlfriend and I recently used David for the purchase of our first home, after being recommended from other family members who had used him ( I noticed one of those is Sassan Danesh who already left a review!). David was fantastic throughout, very responsive and thorough with all the work he carried out. David went the extra mile and did everything we asked of him and more. Would highly recommend David for his superb attention to detail and very friendly approach. Will certainly be using him again and recommending to family & friends!

STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
I paid them over £32k to extend my lease. After months of trial and error, David Major and his incompetent team missed the deadline and the freeholders closed my application. David Major refused to answer my calls/emails. Then after 2 years he told me in an email that he's unable to extend my lease and returned only £25K of money!
AVOID THIS FIRM. Their incapability cost my well over £11k (as I had pay £4K more for my lease extension this year) plus 3 years of pain with no gain.
