I used Whitehead Monckton when I bought my property, I was a first time buyer therefore very new to the conveyancing process. The whole team at Whitehead Monckton were fantastic at guiding me through the process and ensuring the purchase went through in a timely manner.

I would definitely recommend Whitehead Monckton to anyone looking for a friendly and approachable law firm.

**DO NOT USE THIS FIRM** I instructed this firm to handle my house sale. They completely messed it up, with the result that part of the garden was still showing as belonging to me rather than the new owners. Whitehead Monckton then refused to put it right unless I paid them another £1000. The conveyancing executive - I'll address her by her initials, D.T - was rude and condescending and would literally scream at me when I'd call her for an update. They refused to accept any responsibility for the error and were not interested when I complained about the conveyancer's attitude. I consider them thieves, as they charged me to take care of my house sale and did not do it correctly or with due care. I very rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this "professional" firm has left me little choice. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Bunch of cowboys. AVOID.

Recently purchased a new property and used Whitehead Monckton in Maidstone. Found the whole process to be trouble free with regular updates from Carole Cooper and her team. Would certainly use them again in the future. Friendly, informative and professional throughout the whole process.

NEVER NEVER USE THIS FIRM!!! they ONLY professional in one thing: ask for money! Especially a guy working there named: “Jonathan” He was 7 minutes late for the appointment but charged you 10% extra because he said its 6 minutes over 1 hour, oh come on, don’t pretend forgetting you were late !!! When ask him roughly how much will it costs, roughly how long it will take, he is good at answering:” I really don’t know, it all depends”, I know it all depends, that’s ok, but what I was asking is just a guidance price and time, if you are so proud that you are charging hourly rate and SEEMS to be SO experienced, why can’t you use your experience and giving a guidance? When ask some simple thing over the phone he will quickly lost his patient and say:” i have to charge you if you ask any more questions “ what a money beggar!

Never use this useless firm! shop around and there a plenty of better ones around.

I went to Whitehead Monckton (Laurie Brooks) to help me with severe dv; he let me down badly. I got a life-long court protection order + penal notice on 5.8.80 when the Maidstone County Court sat in the Rochester Crown Court where my barrister was Cape Town born Lennie Hoffmann QC. My maniac ex-husband should have be sent to Broadmoor but I did not understand masons & that my solicitors were acting not in my best interests but in my husbands. I went back to Whitehead Monckton in 2002 over my near death-experiences in the BMI Somerfield Hospital & the advice they gave me (which I paid £500 for) if I had followed would have seen me bankrupted to protect profit at any price. My complaints to the Law Society/SRA re Whitehead Monckton fell on death ears as they told me that their duty was to protect Whitehead Monckton over the murder of Wendy Knell on 23.6.87. Then Whitehead Monckton teamed up with Ward & Partners to money launder my home & office block & steal copies of my life long court protection + brass cow bracelet + evidence re the Alliance & Leicester ie to protect them from the murder of Wendy Knell that could see my maniac ex-husband charged with that crime + they were saving the Alliance & Leicester from bad publicity + fines for financial irregularities

Awful company, worst ever in my experience. Poor response to emails etc. Only interested in taking money. Totally lacking in compassion. Do yourself a favour and don't go near them. They deserve zero stars.

Not very compassionate, my elderly mother had got very frail and confused and we arranged for this firm to arrange lasting power of attorney for me. Had the appointment on the Monday, and £500 was taken in advance. The very next day,the district nurse discovered my mum had covid and other breathing problems,so was taken into hospital, where it was discovered she had lung cancer! Because of this, she was to ill to sign the paperwork, instructing them to start the power of attorney procedures. Due to complications, mum died six days later. All i got refunded was £80, after months of red tape! TOTALLY LEGAL,but HEARTLESS
