Lightwater Leisure Centre

Wife loves the yoga classes here. Good facilities too, and the proximity to the country park means you can go for a nice walk or run after a workout. The play area is good for the kids too.

As a grandparent taking a 4 year old to football, I am unable to comment on most of the facilities, but I found the experience a pleasent one.

My only gripe was the condition of the access road which had potholes and poorly marked speed humps. Drivers with low ground clearance be warned.

Pay £40 to use the football facility.. go to use the toilet and get changed to be told I’m not allowed in.. confirmed that I have to wee in the car park and also get changed out the front bearing in mind two lads last week used the indoor toilet! Understand restrictions around covid but to happily let me use the car park for a toilet is ridiculous

Great gym based in lightwater country park. Huge gym with large range of cardio and weights machines. Hammer strength equipment and functional area with kettlebells, sled and more. Large free weights area with cables, squat racks, benches and dumbells from 2kg-50kg. Easy access to the M3 so made it ideal to get to work. Classes also available. Outdoor floodlit courts for tennis and netball plus a 3g 7 a side pitch. Cheap membership and always a good deal on. Highly recommend it!!!

Amazing leisure centre! Clean, fun, kind staff reasonable price, would highly recommend, although the toilet door gets stuck I don’t know why I was screaming for help but help came at last, and got stuck in the lift which was just my luck or the place, but overall it’s great.!

With the revamp of the gym now complete I decided it was time to try the Functional Rig Class with Tania, thoroughly enjoyed the class, great mix of equipment although a little sore the next day or two.
Tania is a great motivator with a can do attitude
Highly recommended class that can be completed in a lunch hour.

Excellent facilities and staff always very friendly and helpful. My husband, who returned for the first time after lockdown yesterday, actually commented 3 times on how good the leisure centre was but he did miss the coffee shop and said it had the best coffee, so fingers crossed it opens soon!

Can someone tell the shaved head guy in the gym to stop moaning like a girl when he exercises or use less weight. Very uncomfortable to hear him struggling.
