Fantastic library! It's a bright and welcoming space, with a nice cafe upstairs and a very nice quiet study area. The staff are kind and friendly; I needed a difficult-to-find book and they quickly located a copy and had it sent to the library so I didn't have to travel to pick it up. Their collection of popular fiction, classic lit and nonfiction is impressive. If I can't find something at the uni library, it's usually at the Colchester library.
All in all, it's a great asset to the community, and I feel very lucky to have it!

Large library. No bathroom but we can use the M&S one not far away. Could be nice to have some magazines too. People working there are helpful.

Library is ok. Its clean and tidy with room for improvement. Staff seem more worried about their own things rather than its users.

No toilets which is highly annoying and could do with more computers for public use.

Friendly and helpful library staff assisted me with my not-books enquiry about where to get town council help (Colchester Council aren't in the building anymore, & haven't been for 2+ years)!
Very nice toilets for us disabled users. Happy that they are reserved for RADAR key holders only 👍👍

This library does not have toilets for the public. When I enquired about the access to the toilets, the lady at the desk said that it is not a legal requirement to have them if they don’t serve food and drinks. To access the toilets you have to leave the building and find your own.
