Frustrating opening days. They are closed Wednesdays and Fridays and of course Sundays too. They have no out of hours return box where books can be returned. An OK library though despite the limited opening hours and days.

I tried to use my scanned library card to check out some books, but it was rejected by the staff. I dislike carrying around extra cards in my wallet and I have an app that replicates bar codes. We're lagging quite behind in terms of technology in the UK.

Cranford library is located on bath road, easily visible along roadside, great silent atmosphere, around 8 computers available for 1 hour use, 1 pc with scanning facility for 15 min, wi-fi available to avail all this facilities need to be a member of Hounslow library.
kids activities are organised at morning time. Staff are very polite in there service to help people. I would highly recommend people to avail facility and spend your own time in reading.

My local library. Usually use for requesting books online and collecting them here. The librarians are very friendly and helpful! They know what they're talking about 😊 It's always a calm atmosphere and a nice little pit stop away from the hustle bustle to have a quiet browse as well. Sometimes they have art workshops and events too. Could do with a refurb but that's gov funding for you.

I went to Cranford library for the first time, to print some documents. Terrible first impression as I enquired the unfriendly gentleman about using a computer to print some papers. I was told I needed a library card to which I replied I didn't have one. He remained silent, with an unprofessional demeanour until I asked if I could get one in order to use the computers. He asked if I had any ID and I did place both my bank card and driver's license on the desk - he briefly glanced at them (there is no way he had time to see/read my details!) and issued a slip with a pin n⁰ in order to use a computer. I never got a library card after all that!?
When I was leaving, he was annoyed I was paying £1.20 with a £5 note, until another member of staff who was friendly stepped in and took over .
