With a fascinating history and a continuing contribution to political culture this is a rewarding place to visit. Guided tours can be booked, and I would recommend it.

A working library also extensive underground archives of newspapers, pamphlets, posters, documents and memorabilia relating to socialism, communism and unionism, especially with respect to the printing and paper industries which were located in the environs.
Lenin briefly worked here in the early 20th.Century.
Quirky and offbeat, a bit of a shambles, down to earth and authentic.
Bound for more recognition as this agenda is propagated and gains traction with a new generation of believers.
A worthwhile destination, reasonably priced tour and annual library membership at nominal fee.

Fascinating tour of a historic building and institution, still functioning to this very day.

Interesting. A tour is the best way to experience it.

This place deserves a visit whatever your political persuasion. I met Meirian Jump, the director, in person. There are also lovely volunteers who make a hugely positive impact. Personally
I was given a very impressive (and moving) tour. Unless you visit you will not learn an important part of international history. This is where Lenin actually worked. If you can't visit check out the website. I am an archivist and if ever I saw a place deserving accreditation this is IT!

Great experience as a researcher. Staff were helpful and accommodating and their collections are fascinating.
