Milton Road Library

The building went up in super quick time, and in my opinion is a great improvement. A very nice space. However .. where are the books? The shelves are very thinly populated. I asked about this when it opened and they said they were coming, but no evidence of this yet. It's the same for both adult and children's books. My 9 year old grandson was very underwhelmed with the selection.
It seems as if they are prioritising renting out the social space over books. Maybe they need an income stream? But there is still plenty of space for more books. Please can we have these soon!

Very smart since its recent rebuild (June 19) although it seems fairly small. Pleasant and helpful staff. IT system not working on re-opening although I am sure they will get that sorted in due course.

Meeting rooms, available for both commercial hire and community use (at reduced rates) should be a useful addition to the area.

Seems a great shame it is not open on at least one or two evenings each week but I know budgets are tight.

I wonder if a small coffee facility would help to generate some revenue to fund longer opening and / or more books?

Step in a public kindergarden!
If you are a kid or a parent, great this is your place. Otherwise too noisy and with kids running around.
Even a cafe is quieter if you want to work or study.

Has yet to have a good stock of books.

Really nice library, friendly staff at the desk ready to help the selection is for me quite large but for others may be a mediocre selection

This has a very good collection of books for the primary school kids.
