Still one of my favourite places for a night out.
Attracting students, locals & people from other towns, the vibe is so cool.
Drinks are reasonable priced, with a lot of bar staff so not waiting to long to be served. Really well managed & great door security staff.

Really great sound at the venue with loads always on at the Amersham. Unfortunately the security guards there have a weird power trip and tell you to obey them? Thought this was quite strange for quite a low-key venue that is essentially only a pub. If You are the venue and your seeing this I’s advise you to talk to your bouncers and tell them to stop being weird.

Was at a punk show here and asked for earplugs, when the bartender told me they reserve them solely for staff. I was told that ‘if [I were] at a Dua Lipa show I’d be given them, but we keep them for staff’. this is ableist behaviour. Earplugs should be as accessible as water- especially when people ask.
Everyone has a right to enjoy music safely and this venue does not seem to respect that.

I went with a friend on a stand up comedy. The host was very welcoming, and the comedians were funny. I’d recommend for anyone who is looking for something different than westend shows to check out the stand up comedy.

I got a coke, the plastic cup was broken and leaking, hopefully next time when I visit, I’ll get a drink in a better cup.

Most weekdays it’s a fine pub with a nice smoking area. Unfortunately I have the misfortune of living near this pub. Friday - Saturday, the street next to my house is littered with 19 year olds from Surrey screaming until 6am. Proper “rah where’s my baccy” kinda crowd attending the punishing club nights playing proper cringe Calvin Harris remixes. Security will watch as patrons of these club nights cross the road into the entrance of my house and urinate on my steps and door, stop traffic and cause fights, and just be generally awful. I work at a local pub also open until 3am sometimes and although drunk and gurning patrons can cause a nuisance we are required by the council and our license to keep this out of the local residential area.
Basically what I’m saying is, a pub that is full of the kind of teenage gilet wearing rah where’s my baccy crowd who will regularly urinate on peoples doors, scream until 6am and cause fist fights every night in the middle of the road is not worth your time.
This area is full of pubs and bars, literally go anywhere else, unless you’re a punishing blonde 19 year old white boy from Kent with a quiff and some joules gilets and you’ll fit right in.
I’m sure the staff are doing all they can and are as frustrated as all of us who have the misfortune of being in the vicinity of this pub,
