Mowbray Cottages & Glamping

We had a lovely family stay at Mowbray Stable Cottages. The accommodation was of an excellent standard with a newly fitted kitchen - with lots of little extras like tea, coffee, washing up liquid etc. The hosts Lucie and Paul made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Most days we went on day trips as there is plenty to do just a short distance away. Ours favourites were Brimham rocks and Seaham beach. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Mowbray Stables a couple of years ago. The cottage was fabulous, clean and everything you need. The home made sausages were fabulous, which were left in the fridge, along with fresh eggs. I would highly recommend the cottages as a great base for exploring the area. Being dog friendly was a big draw for us. We will definitely be looking at staying again in the future.

This is an absolutely fantastic glamping campsite. They have four luxury pods to stay in each complete with a top quality hot tub or if you wish, you can stay in one of the two cottages they have on offer. The couple who run it are wonderful hosts. It's not far from Thirsk Racecourse either and so a good place to stay if you are visiting. There's even a famous retired horse in the neighbouring field that likes to be stroked called Poet's Place. 5stars from me!

As a family of 3, we have just returned home from a long weekends stay at Mowbray. We had the pleasure of staying in pod 3, and can say it did not disappoint.
Lucie and Paul are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble.
The pod itself has everything you could possibly need, giving that homely feeling.
Being a small site gives that nice private intimate feeling, allowing you to relax, but doesn't exclude you from the local shops and restaurants which are a 10 min drive away.
Having a child with additional needs always leaves us a bit apprehensive , however I needn't bother worrying as our hosts were great with my son.

What a great place to stay. Extremely accommodating. We had a great stay and wished we had a little longer to explore. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Our hosts were first class. Thank you.

Myself and my partner stayed just the 1 night in December this year, pod 1.
We had been looking for a glamping pod like this site for sooooo long and were over the moon to find one close to home.
Hosts are amazing, very informative and very approachable. Nothing is ever a problem.
Pods are spotless and homely, everything you need and more provided. Excellent stay and can't wait to stay again. 🤍

We have had a lovely weekend in pod 1. Lucie and Paul were so welcoming and made an exceptional effort to make sure we were welcomed and had everything we needed. Also, arranged an extra birthday package for my boyfriends 18th birthday. We couldn’t recommend any more.

Fantastic cottages and amazing customer service. The cottages were not officially open when I inquired as they were having some outdoor works. But as the cottages fitted our needs so well and we would be out all day at a wedding, Lucie and Paul opened them for us. Lovely welcome and personal touches. Plus very good facilities for my mum who has mobility issues.
