Cannot praise this place highly enough! The owners are lovely and welcoming and the barn is lovely, well equipped comfortably furnished and surprisingly spacious we stayed here with our 5 children and never felt at all cramped, set in the grounds of the owners home with 2 beautiful friendly dogs always up for a scratch behind the ears! Our kids have said it’s the best holiday we’ve had in ages and I couldn’t agree more! Tucked away you really feel you are in the country but 15 minutes in the car to Folkestone town centre for anything you might need. My only regret is booking 1 week instead of 2, we will definitely be back!

What a great choice for a staycation.
With a warm arrival from Aiden and lovely welcome gifts in the Barn, we knew this was going to be a lovely short break.
Two adults, two children and a dog all very comfortably accommodated in the Barn, with everything you can need for a wonderful stay.
The Barn itself has two lovely well made up bedrooms with linen and towels, a lovely open plan kitchen/diner and spacious upstairs loft space with comfy seating. The loft also has a beautiful opening velux window that opens out into a mini balcony style space, a really pleasant surprise. Everything you need is in the well appointed kitchen and it is only 3 miles to Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda in Dover.
Outside there is a fab long field space for the dog that had a trampoline available for the kids (great touch) And the hot tub! The tub is really well looked after and set in a lovely space tucked behind some out buildings across from the barn.
Travel wise, it's about 3 miles to Dover one way and 4/5 to Folkestone the other. The Barn is in a really peaceful and tranquil space at the end of West Hougham as you head towards Dover. We went to both major towns both for a White Cliffs walk and a promenade and beach walk. Well recommended.
What made the stay for us was the immaculate cottage and it's lovely owners. So welcoming and friendly, Aiden welcomed us like friends. Cannot stress enough how "at home" we felt.
We will be back...5* experience.

Wewe been here 2 nights with anothers friends for visiting the Kent. Well connected. Superfriendly host. Quite and clean place, nice to relax and break from the busy London. No breakfast included. good space outside.

This has been our 2nd visit this year! What an amazing and beautiful place this is. The surroundings are rural peaceful like you cannot believe. Aidan is fantastic, friendly and very welcoming. He and his family have worked so hard to achieve, what I would call a Dream place to stay. They have built all this themselves and have put so much thought and dedication into everything you see. You have the Spitfire Barn that sleeps up to 6,people, this is where we stayed. They also now have another two additions, which are the Shepherds Huts that cater for two people. They are just beautiful and you have to see them for yourself to understand all the hard work and detail that has gone into building them. We are a group of women consisting of family and friends that require some ‘ME’ time lol, if you get my drift. We have had the best times here and relaxing too, also popping into the beautiful hot tub just tops it off. We have fallen in love with SPITFIRE BARN and we will continue to visit on a regular basis, for as long as we are able to. We now class this as our very own special place it’s just AMAZEBOMBS.xx 😍😍
