Old Soar Manor

I found this whilst visiting English Heritage properties. It's an interesting building in a lovely part of the world, which I didn't know existed. Well worth a look for 20 - 30 minutes.

Very interesting place. There is lots of local history on display. Well worth a visit.

Such a nice little manor house. Very atmospheric if your into medieval life. A few rooms but pretty empty

Interesting site... We couldn't go inside but it was our interim stop as part of Ightham Mote circular walk to Old Soar Manor.

Firstly, parking is limited here, maybe 3 cars, though it's not likely to be busy as it is off the beaten track and not many people will go out of their way to come here. It's only small, won't take you long to look around. One room with a bunch of information, and a few more rooms to look around. Worth stopping in if you are in the area

Interesting to see not much here for children ok for quick visit

This place always fascinates me. I can imagine the Knights family living there( wish the hall was still there) .
I feel you can touch the walls,and really feel there presence .

Don Quixote eat your heart out. This is such a lovely old knights Manor house just out the tales of yore and then some. And bonus it's real! Delighted to find this building with so much history and charm.
