This is a greatly preserved monument with its own layby to park. You can go inside the manor and explore it admiring the architecture.

Fiddleford Manor is one of those perfectly formed places that are a joy to visit. Just off the A357 to Sturminster Newton this English Heritage site has car parking and is open from to 10-4pm each day, with free entry. The path to the manor can get very muddy so be prepared.
The manor is small but had a number of interesting features including wall paintings, gallery and superb roof timbers. There are good information boards dotted about which illustrate the original extent of the house and also what lies next door where the house becomes a private property.
The River Stour runs behind the site and adds a wonderful backdrop to the house. Don't miss this if you are in the area.

It's okay for quick stop if you travel.. I would not recommend pushchair. Its good for dog if he wants to have quick swim. It's nice village

Not the Manor but the fields and river where we've walked dogs for countless years. Now there's the most unwelcoming signs and orders to stay strictly on the footpath. Hadn't been for a while after encountering the farmer spraying poison with no pre warning signs.
Will not return again which no doubt he will love. Miserable place.

Remote and atmospheric takes one back to ages past. Fascinating and elaborate roof timbers.

Small and attractive Manor house but not much to see. However the car park is a great asset as you have access to walks in the surrounding countryside including the river Stour and nearby nature reserve.
