Mayfield Medical Centre

Undoubtedly one of the worst GP, 1 star for the nurses. I have been with this GP for 10 years and my experiences keep getting worse. I am not sure on what is going on. The only good thing about this GP are the nurses, they are very kind and helpful. The receptionists are not helpful at all, i needed help with signing a letter from my doctor and i was constantly told no (the only reason i kept trying is because my friends in different GP needed help singing the same letter and they were granted a signature within few hours). It took me 3 weeks of repeated calls every few days and £30 to get my signature. They said it was a private matter therefore the doctors couldn't do it, yet it was done in the end, how ironic. Some of the doctors are very rude and some are nice. One of the doctor was very impatient and simply could not wait for the appointment to be over. I was translating for my mother who cannot speak english but he was constantly busy checking the time and gave very vague answers to her questions too. My list of complaints is never ending with this GP and i do not recommend this GP to anyone, save yourself the stress and time.

Receptionist kicked me out the surgery when i was 8 and a half months pregnant because i had moved 5minutes more up the road… this caused a-lot of confusion when filling out hospital forms etc after my baby was born. Wish i had kicked up more of a fuss at the time. Rubbish care. Absolutely rubbish.

A real anomaly they must be keeping the good doctors for more affluent areas I guess .maybe good for rashes and burns straight forward things like that but if your looking for an intelligent kind approach which is focused less on their own egos and maybe more on patient care then I would definitely steer clear .I’ve lived in various parts of the country including Dorset and Surrey and never had any problems really nice and helpful just not here

I’ve only been with this practice for under 2 years and I needed to make my 1st appointment today. Fantastic response time and very compassionate staff. It has taken two hours between a phone call to the reception, my GP calling me back and my prescription landing at the nearest pharmacy. I was very impressed, efficiency in its best!
I’ve been with Fleet Medical Centre before that for 10 years or so and never experienced such a great service! Thank you for looking after me! X

I have been going to this doctors surgery for 10 years, and almost every experience has been awful.

I have experienced so many miscommunications at this surgery that I'm now so anxious about calling my doctor that I'd rather suffer in silence. I've had appointments booked by my doctor that when I turn up on the day aren't in the system and the receptionists have patronised me so intensely I've been left humiliated. I've had doctors tell me one thing, but then not record that action in their notes so when I follow up I look like I am lying. I've even had one doctor tell me to get a suntan for my acne and go on Wikipedia during an appointment.

It shouldn't be this difficult to go to your doctor, when the reason you are already contacting them is because you are worried about something health related. Yet here I am so scarred by all of the terrible experiences I've had.

The only good thing about this surgery are the nurses, they are always extremely professional, welcoming and reassuring.

This medical centre is changing police’s without public notice .. so bad..

This surgery is absolutely appalling a certain receptionist is extremely gobby rude obnoxious and ignorant amounst other things. It's terrible how the receptionists treats people on the phone and in person. Action will now be taken against the surgery and her personally. Absolute disgrace
