I went to see LOC to enquire about managing a persistent long-term injury in my foot I had following a snowboarding accident some ten years prior.

The NHS had not been able to help much at the time of the accident and given the current Covid situation, I was very concerned about going to a hospital.

Not wearing shoes a fair bit during lock-down had made my symptoms much worse.

I would have pain in my foot every time I got out of bed each morning and it was becoming a significant issue throughout the day as my feet got tired. I’m in my 40’s, so given the rapid decline in only a few months, I knew this was something I had to get sorted soon or it would just get worse during the rest of my life.

I had expected a continual decline in my condition, but a friend mentioned LOC to me as they had a good experience resolving an issue they had with their feet when running and exercising.

I set up an appointment and I saw the orthotist Allan. He was very patient and listened to my issue, asked a number of questions about the injury, my lifestyle and the pain I was experiencing. He spent quite a long time assessing my foot and discussing the options. He scanned my feet right there and then, prescribing a set of bespoke insoles that would be designed to fit my feet specifically. The goal is that the insoles would act to alter the position of my foot within my shoes and provide extra support where needed.

I’ve been wearing them for a few days and they take a bit of getting used to, but I can really feel the difference they are making already. The pain has stopped completely and I’m much more stable on my feet than beforehand. One of the best things about the insoles is that I can transfer them to different shoes as i need to.

I highly rate the service I received.

I enquired with the LOC regarding my daughters head shape being quite elongated. I had an assessment with Mr Saeed Hamid who was super lovely and very gentle with my daughter. He explained everything well and told us that though my daughters head shape was slightly elongated he didn’t think it needed treatment. A really lovely and quick to respond team. I would highly recommend!!!

Used LOC to brace both our daughters for their scoliosis. All stars go to orthotist John Turner in Manchester who is a genuinely lovely man. His advice when first diagnosed was so gratefully received. Thank you. Our disappointment is with LOC more generally as a company. Don't feel we truly received the service we initially were promised. I know there has been a lot of changes this year in terms of staff and brace manufacturing but we wanted Dr Weiss's 30+ yrs of brace making expertise but LOC nolonger work with him and now produce their own braces. For this reason we now have both our daughters under the care of 'Braced for scoliosis' who not only use Dr Weiss to manufacture their braces but also have Sally, a previous LOC orthotist, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience with the Gensingham brace and is 100% who we feel happy working with.

i used LOC for my daughter as I found their advice and care above and beyond any others and this was before we paid for any service., they were just willing to take their time to talk to us several times, in what was a very stressful time to help us make the right decision. The treatment has almost straighten my daughters back. Anna throughout this process has been amazing, encouraging my teenage daughter that she can do this. Also, found being about to get a same day appointment to fix the brace very helpful, as the technical staff are on site. Also great to be able to get weekend appointments …

Wonderful experience. Professional orthotist, Anna who fitted the brace for scoliosis for me. The overall treatment has shown significant improvements. Good value for the money.

My daughter has been wearing the LOC band for a few months now, she had severe Plagiocephaly and Brachycephaly from birth. I have been very impressed with the massive improvement in the shape of her head since starting treatment at four months old.
I recommend the band and also Jo who has been our consultant throughout treatment.
She is an expert in her field and works with me to make sure we are seeing the best results for my daughter. Would recommend to anyone who isn't happy with their babies head shape.

I used LOC Kingston for my 4 month old daughters plagiocephaly. Within days of my initial enquiry I was booked an appointment to see Jo. At no cost, Jo spent well over an hour with me discussing my daughters head shape, going over her birth and talking about the treatment. There was absolutely zero pressure to go ahead with treatment but I had already decided it was the right thing to do.
Jo was only ever a text away if I had any questions between appointments and was a total perfectionist at each helmet review. She’s a real master of her craft.
In 4 short months the treatment was over and I am absolutely delighted to have gone ahead with it and of course, with the results. It really was the best money my husband and I have ever spent.
