You have to call the surgery from 8 am to 9 am to have an appointment for the same day. You cannot book an appointment for other days of the week. It is a shame also that you have to waste your time in line to get an appointment because their phone is always busy due to the fact that their booking system is ridiculous. I would have done a feedback to the doctors but in 1 year all I could do was get one appointment for a phone conversation.

Shambles of a place I put in for my repeat prescription to be done for the week prior arrive to be told that doctor hasn’t allowed it. Go into the surgery to speak about this can clearly see I’m struggling to breathe reciptionist was kind enough to send a note to doctor as well as it being urgent. 5 hours later I’m now having to sit in a&e cos of the incompetence of the doctors at this place

I don’t know why this has had 1 star reviews- since registering here I have found them very accessible and helpful to both me and my partner. I was able to get repeat prescriptions sorted out easily with the help of the receptionist and pharmacist, had a good appointment with the nurse which was scheduled very quickly and had a very timely response to e-consult queries. My partner has been able to get face to face appointments quickly as well. Thank you!

Doctors are great. Call line not so much. Was told 'how long is a piece of string' in regard to how long I'd be waiting for my scan date -- rude and unprofessional. Had experience with some lovely women behind reception, others not so much.

I’ve been with this surgery for just under a year, I’m always able to get through and manage to make appointments face to face or on the telephone. Reception are always helpful and very friendly. Cannot say anything negative about this surgery.

Dr Tony (Anthony) is the best, my 2yrs old saw him, and I was so please they way he delt with her and myself, very personal and you feel special, he did not read from a computer or a book, it felt like the old days type of Doctoring. Receptionist was also great, I can't remember her name, white slim lady with glasses, very pleasant.

Like the reviewer below, I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to because the Oakfield Surgery is such a delightful surgery.

The reception staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. When you call up they actually sound pleased to hear from you (despite the enormous pressure they must be under) and nothing is too much trouble.

The doctor and practice nurse I have seen were also wonderful, and I appreciate how quickly they book in appointments (for example phone calls on the same morning)

Also had the jab there - all the volunteers were so lovely and the vaccinator was brilliant!
