I have phoned the surgery this morning (Monday 4th ) to have to cancel an appointment due to me contacting noravirus. After spending the day in hospital and leaving at 1 in the morning forgot to ask for a sick note for work. The awful attitude of this nan was unforgivable. He just wasn't interested. Wouldn't let me speak. Very disappointed. Left me quite upset

Unfortunately this place has become impossible to deal with. You simply cannot get an appointment unless you are stood on the door step at 7:15am. Which I'm assuming most ill people aren't capable of doing, because they are, you know, well ILL!

I recently needed two appointments for two poorly children. I was told I was only allowed one appointment per family per day. Wow. It amazes me they think this is convenient OR caring. I've waited on hold for over an hour on another occassion to be told yet again there are no appointments and to go to an Urgent Care Centre. There must be more effecient ways of managing. So disappointing and frustrating. Needless to say I will shortly be moving my entire family away from this practice. Shocking NHS just shocking.

I have no problems with this surgery the receptionist have always been lovely and I've had no problems. I called the other day to cancel my husband's appointment and the lady on the phone said oh you don't sound well at all yourself would you like me to see if I can get you in to see a doctor I was in that afternoon. Thank you so much.

Made a complaint and have not got a response so resorted to this. First off when I was very unwell a few months back I was told that I would have to come down to the surgery half an hour before it opened to "try" and get a GP urgent appointment. This was fine for me because I don't suffer with mobility issues and it was the middle of summer but a poor woman who was next to me in the que had to sit down on the floor because she couldn't stand any longer. As winter is approaching is this going to be the case for people with respiratory issues standing outside in the cold for an appointment? Maybe open the appointments half an hour after you open so that people have somewhere to wait whilst trying. After this occasion I tried to book a routine appointment to discuss flying 3 months post DVT and was told to ring at 8am to get a same day appointment??? This issue isn't a same day emergency appointment issue. I was then told that routine appointments are released but couldn't be told when so is it a case of calling every hour of every day???? I work in a GP practice myself so as you can imagine I can't do this. One time I phoned I was told by the receptionist that she didn't think that my problem was urgent so I wouldn't get a appointment. Every time I phone to speak to the practice manager I get told that she isn't t there and get redirected to poor Rachel who is reception manager. I understand being a receptionist is a very difficult as they don't make the rules they just follow them but belittling people just isnt right. Also phoned today at 18:15 call not answered got to half 6 and phone got put down on me.

I’m only giving a 1 star review as there’s no option to give a 0 star review!
Close to impossible to get an appointment. Even phoning at 8am, you’re stuck in a queue for up to 45 minutes to usually then be told there’s no more appointments and to try again tomorrow at 8am.
My symptoms got worse over the weekend and I’m sure I’ve got a chest infection and need antibiotics. Called this morning to be told no appointments, there are appointments available tomorrow but I’ll have to phone back again tomorrow at 8am! (Usual story)
Asked why if I called, have obvious symptoms & need an appointment, and they have appointments tomorrow, why they can’t just book me in. Was told the system does not allow it & I should either go to the emergency walk in treatment centre on London road or present at A&E! I questioned again (politely but firmly) why they couldn’t just give me their available appointment tomorrow and the receptionist put the phone down on me! Rang emergency treatment centre and was told there was at least a 3 hour wait and it’s drop in so no appointments and would just have to sit and wait. Told them my symptoms and that I just need a prescription for antibiotics. They advised I ring 111 as I could be assessed over the phone and they may be able to prescribe antibiotics quicker, especially when I was feeling too unwell to travel to the city and wait in a waiting room for hours. Rang 111 who confirmed a likely chest infection and stated as it was a Monday morning and not out of hours the GP has a responsibility to prescribe antibiotics. They advised they would make a referral back to the surgery and I should receive a call back within 2 hours from a prescribing clinician (GP or nurse prescriber). 5 hours later I’d not had a call back from the surgery so I rang to check likely timeframe for call back. Couldn’t get through by phone. Call diverted to Assarts Farm. I was told they had received the referral from 111 but had no capacity to offer me a call back as too busy so I wouldn’t be getting a call and should phone again at 8 am for an appointment. This has happened so many times to family members. By the time you actually get an appointment you’re usually much worse and it takes longer for the antibiotics to take affect, or you struggle and are feeling better by the time you actually get seen. Even with one of our children we’ve been really let down in being able to get access to a vital medical/health service and had to battle the system without the GP’s support to get anywhere. This practice is an absolute waste of space. Telling people to go to A&E when A&E posters state to go to GP if it’s not a life threatening issue! Just passing on responsibility. Useless.

Awful. Cannot get an appointment with Bilborough or Assarts Farm. Never able to get through on the phone, no online booking option. Called as nursery were concerned about my 2 year old. She was unwell & had gone a strange colour. Reception told me that there was only 1 GP at work that day but they were working from home so no physical appointment could be given. I was told to go to a&e.

I dread having to phone this place. I need to book an appointment for myself but I hate ringing.

Spoke ti recepition this morning as they message that i need a blood test, theysaid they could di me a blood form as im going ti hosiptal that afternoon , she said it would be ready at 12pm
So had to catch a bus out of my way in the pouring rain only to be told it wasn't ready
I had to leave to get to my hospital appointment
What a waste of my time and money the reception doesn't really get a star it's rubbish
And now on the friday ring and make appointment which is cancelked 2 hours later and then given a phone call appointment for tomorrow. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing comes to mind

Unfortunately this place is unfit to serve the community. Been bad for 3 weeks not got any better I had to beg well pharmacy to give me diabetes medicine and inhalers, lost all my earring in one ear. Best this place can do is call back at 8am in the morning, or go to the walking centre. 8 am is like trying to get though to someone at NASA. The walking center just say you need to call your own GP. Been with this doctors for 38 years worst it’s ever been
