As my husband will say sometimes these receptionists think they are the queens of the place! There’s a particular receptionist most likely in her 60s as she’s gone on to tell us her age before who is just so impolite! She’s never friendly on the phone and is always in some type of foul mood! I pray whenever I call to try and get an appointment that she’s not the one who I have to speak to. It’s funny that people tend to forget that one day they may face the same issues or even worse than you do and would very much appreciate a compassionate/kind person to deal with. Doctors are fabulous when it comes to the care of children and I’m grateful for that but when you have to deal with a receptionist that acts like you’ve called to disturb her day it’s unpleasant having to call.

I received a text asking me to call the surgery, so i called at 9.20am and confirmed my details with reception.
I was then told to call back at 10am to book an appointment so i could be advised about my MRI test results.
I tried calling at 10am, but I had an automated system tell me to call again at 2pm, so i tried calling again to speak with the receptionist, and after listening to the droning options again, i was told by the automated system that my call cannot be answered.... and i was cut off.
Just like most people, my time is precious ( especially during working hours) so why the hell am i wasting my time and breath when all it took was a text to say please call at 2pm ???
I'm amazed these people are still alive after the initial pandemic!!!

What oh what has happened to this lovely friendly practice. It has steadily declined over the last few years until now it must surely have sunk to the bottom of the pile. I had a telephone medication review booked for yesterday, after a 2 month wait, so I had my mobile with me at all time and received no call. When i got home at lunchtime they had spoken to my husband and said they had tried my mobile. I can only think they mis dialed. I phoned the surgery and after 20 mins got to speak to a receptionist. I explained the position and asked if she would speak to whoever phoned to which the answer was "no she's busy and you'll have to make another appointment at the end of July." I explained I had stopped taking my blood pressure tablets as they didn't agree with me and would like to speak to someone about it before then. She just said there's an emergency number you can phone. It's not an emergency I just wanted some advice. She obviously didn't believe that i hadn't recived a call even though I offered to come down and show her my phone. I just felt totally fobbed off through no fault of my own. I asked to speak to the practice manager and told they were on leave. I said is there anyone I can speak to and the blunt answer was no! I have now lost total faith and confidence in this practice which is so sad as I have been with them since the onset.

The receptionists at this doctors are some of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. They’re not helpful and hang up on you when your halfway through asking a question! Disgusting. It’s a shame because all the doctors I have seen are good. The receptionists really let it down. I dread calling

I’ve been with this surgery for many years but since I’ve had health issues I’ve had zero support. I have to constantly call to chase up the doctors as I do not hear anything back otherwise & the receptionists can be quiet rude too. It might be time to change surgeries.

Thank you to Dr Parker who saw my daughter at short notice when she was displaying symptoms of tonsilitis. No dismissal of her symptoms and treated her very kindly. With the news of strep a circulating around children my husband and I were very thankful that he listened and got my daughter straight onto a course of pencillin.
Very good doctors here.

Had an appointment with Dr Jefferies 1 month ago. Extremely helpful, thorough and had time for you and offered to follow up to check on medication. Also appt for bloods with Chris who is always cheerful, friendly and professional. When I returned the call the receptionist I spoke to, Courtney, was really helpful and polite. Many thanks

You can not get a face to face appointment.
I had something wrong with my ear I was told a doctor would phone me and decide if I need to have an appointment, I said how can the doctor see what’s wrong with my ear over the phone?
Before the pandemic we used to be able to phone and get an appointment to go and see the doctor, it just seems the doctors don’t want to patients.
They just don’t care, absolute Rubbish.
I would not have given them any stars but I didn’t have that option.
