Derby Medical Centre

I’ve been registered with other GPs in the area but this one is the best. I’ve finally found a doctor who actually listens to me and friendly receptionists who answer the phones! It’s possible to get appointments and they’ve been helpful and kind in general.

I've just had an appointment with Dr Raheela and I am over the moon happy with how nice and caring she is. The previous surgeries dismissed my concerns or prescribed short term medication, so I gave up on asking for an assessment and tried to deal with the symptoms of something for a few months until they got worse. So today I called in with what has become an urgent issue and Dr Raheela has consulted me on the phone, scheduled a face-to-face appointment the same day, assessed me and sent one of my tests off to the lab to make sure she can provide the correct diagnosis. She's also booked me in for an urgent blood test that normally takes weeks. For the first time in a while I felt that the GP I saw really cared about my issue and wanted to make sure my treatment is right.

Don't care about patients these people just need a head count for getting more money from government, which is fraudulent but no one cares. Nurses are tired from morning, prefer to chat around and rules are there to save doctors and nurses from their oath to prefer patients and their needs.
You are sick today but these Gaps can't see you until a month later, and don't get sick on weekend because it's holiday

Incredible to read all of these bad reviews, I understand that when people are unwell it is a stressful time, but I personally feel that Derby Medical Centre is very good.

Receptionists are always helpful and my doctor (Dr Deveson) is brilliant and very understanding with just the right amount of empathy and wit in equal measure.

IMO, the staff here are doing a great job considering the underfunded nature of the matter.

Constantly struggling to make an appointment for my 1 year old child who I need to be seen by a doctor to confirm my suspicions of a skin condition or if it is something else. The site has been closed to make appointments a lot lately and can't get through on the phone (the phone service even says do not call go to the website and book online but the website never seems to be open for enquiries or booking appointments anymore) and still waiting for my referral for a pediatrician for my one year old, has been about 6 months and still nothing. Not the greatest service at this GP. When I actually see the doctors or nurses they are always kind and helpful.

We saw a doctor (woman) yesterday for my dad. She was amazing. She even tried to entertain my son as he was very active while she was checking on my dad. So far I have never seen this behaviour from a doctor.The receptionist was very kind and patient. Thank you

With all the negative press around doctors surgery's, I must say that my experience with staff and doctors at Derby Medical Centre has always been efficient and helpful. 10/10 from me👍

Don’t understand my own go tells me to get the prescription at 12;30 I’m so I’ll I can’t go so I send my mother she waits for an hour only for them to say they haven’t received a prescription!!!! What a waste of time now I’m twice as ill as I was so I need a different prescription and got to ring again tomorrow I also rung them because boots told me to see what’s going on only to find out also that she never signed it off what a complete and utter joke!!!!! Angry is beyond words
