Had a really good experience at the surgery, reception staff were accommodating with me running slightly late for my appointment and the doctor was excellent. Would highly recommend

Complete waste of time & tax payers money can’t get appointments or even talk to a receptionist so forget about a doctor. How can it call it self a GP surgery a complete joke playing with peoples lives . Disgraceful surgery

Absolutely appalling! If I could give no stars I would.
Shocking treatment on two consecutive days at both the Horsefair and Hillspring branch. On
4th August I called Horsefair at 8am and was on hold for 40mins before getting through to reception (no suprise there). I requested a triage call as for some reason you are STILL unable to book a face to face appointment...when she asked what my reason for speaking to the doctor was, she quickly said 'Go and see a local pharmacist that does not warrent a doctor and we are fully booked anyway'. I was extremely upset. My mother rang back on my behalf while I was ill and looking after 2 small children, to which she was offered a triage call for myself later in the day. The doctor may I add was lovely, realised medication was required and so it was prescribed there and then.
On 5th August at around 2pm I took my one year old son to Northwood pharmacy, attached to Hillsprings surgery. I did not want the hassle of the previous day trying to see a doctor and was not sure it would be 'warrented' anyway. The pharmacist and the pharmacy girls were amazing. They were super helpful and reassuring and told me I needed to see a GP with him quite quickly as they suspected a nasty infection. They told me there was one doctor working over at Hillsprings so I popped over to the desk. The receptionist was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She avoided eye contact for a good few minutes before looking up at me for a response. She was doing nothing and the waiting room was COMPLETELY empty. When I explained what the pharmacist had said, she actually rolled her eyes at me!! She said they were super busy and my baby could not be seen. May I reiterate, my son is a year old and by this point, screaming the waiting room down to which she did not bat an eyelid. She did not even glance at him, show a sliver of empathy or even try to apologise. She saw the doctor and I asked if she could check if he could quickly see my baby ( as he sauntered across the waiting room, obviously rushed off his feet!) She took him out the back, came back within 20 seconds and told me nothing could be done, it was not a job for a GP and I should take my son to Samuel Johnson. I was mortified.
I took him, was seen after a 2 hour wait and was prescribed the treatment needed by some fantastic nurses, who were disgusted but not suprised at what I had told them about my experience. They advised me to write a formal complaint which I will be doing, aswell as changing practices.
Sorry for the rant but please beware of these cowboys. These receptionists especially are what give the hardworking NHS a bad rep. DO NOT USE!!

After trying every half an hour since 8 and being met with an automatic message telling me I had to try later as everyone was too busy, I finally got through to the ‘on hold’ queue!! 55 mins later I spoke to someone and was put on the emergency appointment list as it was very important…great. Except I never got my appointment call. It never happened. I miss my old surgery so much

Refused to give my son a second opinion told me to ring 111 instead although the hospitals are busy. Doctor not interested and receptionists are even worse. If I could give no stars I would they don't deserve even that. Receptionist don't take their job seriously.

Absolute waste of time, after booking a days holiday just to get a blood test, then to be told they don't have a blood form so they can't do it. FUMING!!!!

Doesn't appear to be taking calls anymore. Been trying to get an appointment for weeks and I need to see my doctor

I have no problem with the medical services, but trying to ring the surgery is a disaster! My record wait is ninety minutes……when I do eventually get through, I usually get decent service. I MUCH preferred the old system….. I was usually answered much more rapidly, and you knew to whom you were speaking, too! I would change doctors, but every surgery seems to have adopted this system, which I don’t like at all!
