The Riverside Practice

Been trying to get through and get an appointment since Novemeber for an ongoing issue I am having they kept sending me to A&E or UTC and they can no longer help me without referall 111 service even put an urgent on my record and they still havent offered me an appointment everytime I eventually get through its we are at full capacity. I will now be doing an formal complaint and looking and possibly taking further and changing my GP. Receptionist are rude and it really feels as if they do not care.

If I could give less than one star I would.

My dad called this surgery the w/c 23rd January requesting to see a doctor urgently. He was told the soonest appointment was the 2nd Feb. He died on the 31st January on sepsis.

If surgery had listened to my dad’s symptoms properly, they could have advised that he go to A&E immediately or arranged an urgent appointment. Instead he was fobbed off with an appointment over a week later…..not much help now.

I am disgusted with this surgery. Absolutely disgusted.

Awful practice can't see a GP in weeks or shall we say well over a month ! Only one decent GP there and they only work 2 days a week! Lucky if you can get past the receptionists who are rude , uncaring and act as if they are in Charge ! No wonder the reviews are so bad they speak volumes!! Going to the Surgery is because your ill or worried about something not a day trip out because your bored I only go now when I am desperate about something because the phone lines you are in a queue for the best part of 40 mins and then when you do get through it's a waste of time. My advice if you are thinking of joining this practice don't bother got told they can't handle the amount of patients they have and yet they are still taking on. I will say this practice wasn't always like this and we liked it but it's dire now !!!

Called to enquire about something one afternoon, first receptionist I spoke too was helpful and friendly and pointed me in the direction I needed to be in. I re-dialed and spoke to the right department to be greeted on the other end by a very unhelpful women who was nothing but short and blunt for no reason at all. Won't be in a hurry to call back and when I spoke to other people about this, the feeling was mutual as they too have had bad experiences at this Surgery.

No compassion. Not willing to help. Won't listen to oncology dept, breast clinic or radiology dept. We'll be changing surgery as soon as we can organise it.

Shout out to Caroline on reception team and Claire on the nursing team. Always helpful and go out of their way to help.

Visited the surgery yesterday. Found the staff and nurse charming and the service first class. I have phoned the practice a few times in the past few weeks and sometimes have had to wait a few minutes, or on one occasion i decided to phone back at a later time because of the waiting time. I think one would always be frustrated with delays especially during a time of illness which adds stress. I am also mindful that the staff in any doctors practice must also be under enormous pressure at present. I'm totally satisfied and a huge thank you to the staff.

I have read the reviews and I also think that the receptionists are here to blame. It’s so hard to reach them no matter what time you call. Thank god I don’t use surgery often otherwise I would go crazy sitting at my phone all day trying to reach them. Today I called at 5:40pm it went straight through but all I could hear was “I can’t be bothered” and then she hung up. Tried to call one more time but then they just put me on hold waited few more minutes and just gave up. I don’t think that they where busy at that time.
