Shepperton Medical Practice

No complaints. I phoned Thursday at 8.30am and asked to speak to a doctor, preferrably a lady doctor. The doctor phoned me within an hour and a half and "created" a slot for me to see her that morning. I was given a very thorough examination and refer'd to Ashford for a non-urgent appointment at their breast clinic but she said that she would e-mail the request to the hospital to save time. The hospital contacted me within 24 hours and fixed an appointment for less than 3 weeks. Thank you, SMP.

Shocking, unreliable, mistake driven doctors and back office. I was wrongly diagnosed with Arrhythmia by the part time doctor I am registered with here.

I accepted the error from the doctor after her eventual apology, even though it changed mine and my families life with the shocking news, until St. Peters ran a series of complex time consuming tests to deduce that it was indeed an incorrect diagnosis from my doctor in Shepperton Medical Practice.

So much time and money lost from my own consultancy work, plus enormous positive energy lost in those stressful and unforgettable times when I thought my life was at sudden risk from impending heart failure. I will never forget what it's like to break that news to my own children and others close to me.

It's October 2022, and I'm getting awful unreliable service all over again, although it's fair to say it is unrelated to above. I haven't got the time or the inclination to go into detail, yet it's another reminder how bad this practice really is?

They say "practice makes perfect" Not as far as Shepperton Medical Practice is concerned, are what my experiences leads me to believe?

If you are reading this and aren't yet registered in this practice or have options to use another medical practitioners or doctors, please consider your options elsewhere?

One * star was the lowest I could leave via Google. I would rate this far lower if I could.

Phoned to get appointment with nurses today as just come home from hospital and need new dressing’s every day. The one nurse working is off sick. Told to go back to hospital or walk in! I said they were useless as I was very upset and I was told I was being abusive! And apply for nursing job and then they’ll have more staff WOW Maureen the receptionist was so rude no care and no sympathy and she was abusive! I cried so much after as I’m very down atm

I've had nothing but the best service from shepperton medical practice, the receptionists, and doctors, nurses, have shown kindness, understanding, and do there best to accommodate my needs.
Having gone through cancer, I've found how wonderful the staff are, they try their best, to help all patients,.
Makes me sad to read the awful reviews, remember they are also human.....show respect, to our amazing team at shepperton medical practice...

Called Tuesday, call answered in under 30 seconds. Friendly receptionist, said she would pass my request for a telephone consultation to the doctor.
Doctor called 10 minutes later, efficient and friendly consultation. Offered to see me face to face but I declined as didn't want to take up his valuable time as I was very happy with his assessment and plan.
He pinged a prescription to my nominated pharmacy and I picked up my meds an hour later.
My chest infection is now much better.
The service I received could not be any better. Thank you Team Shepperton Medical Practice. 🎖🎖

Update.

Phoned for an appointment, got one at exactly the time I wanted.

Popped in afterwards to pick up some paperwork, met the amazing Maureen who looked after me.

After my tests, popped in again to get my results, looked after by Lynda who was friendly and efficient. She even gave me a print out of my chest x ray report.

This doctors surgery is useless, it is impossible to see or even talk to a doctor. The staff are rude and unhelpful, all they say is call back at 8am the next day and I can’t do or suggest anything to help you, no care at all. Do not use, you have been warned.

Today I rang the surgery and spoke to tamzin on reception requesting a call from a doctor re my chest infection and flu and respiratory problems, tamzin was compassionate and I received a call from Dr Rosemary Sorley within 90 minutes whereby she helped me and sent a BRILLIANT MEDIC Yvonne to my home very quickly and she was THOROUGH, professional and friendly bless her and within a very quick time the doctor rung me back having received feedback from Yvonne and a course of steroid’s and antibiotics was sent to the pharmacy , I rang the surgery to give WELL DONE feedback to the practice manager and they as a TEAM acted fast and professionally in helping me bless them ❤️❤️❤️

Truly the worst medical practice I have had the misfortune of belonging to. The nurses and doctors have always been nice, but the reception staff... I have never experienced anything like it. They were terrible when I first started going, then it seemed to get better, especially with the introduction of the online booking system that allowed you to request an appointment and they would set you up with the next available, fine by me. Now they tell me they aren't taking bookings in advance and you MUST call same day to get an appointment same day, even though my problem isn't an emergency and doesn't require an immediate appointment. What do you mean you aren't booking appointments in advance?! How can that possibly be any good to any patient?? You call them and the reception staff are so dismissive and rude, until you say you'll be making a formal complaint and you want their name, all of a sudden you get what you need. I honestly don't know how most of those reception staff sleep at night knowing how terribly they treat patients.

Completely agree with other reviewers, the reception staff will happily lie to you just to get you off the phone (I was told the new system of same day appointments has been in place "for quite some time now", even though I booked an appointment in advance with them only a couple months ago). The misinformation they spread is unsafe and I honestly think this clinic should be shut down.
