Disgusting service.. you won't get an appointment unless your about to keel over.. any other issues are frowned upon and the overly qualified receptionist will tell you whether or not you should see a doctor! I didn't even want to give 1 star but it wouldn't let me post a review without giving it that! Search this practice and it is also in the paper stating how poorly run it is it's really shocking! Avoid avoid avoid!

The doctors themselves are good and quite helpful. The service aside is appalling. Never any appointments available and you feel like you’ve said something insulting if you even ask for one. My girlfriend is a patient here as well and has been told she has to wait weeks to speak with a doctor about her asthma. An appointment they want her to book because she can no longer get the inhalers she needs as they want to review it (basically they don’t believe it’s that bad). No common sense or urgency whatsoever.

I'm not normally one to write reviews, however on this occasion I feel it to be necessary, and in no way want this to reflect my experiences with the doctors/nurses themselves as they are BRILLIANT, it's simply the reception team that let this place down.

I arrived early for an appointment, not expecting to get in any earlier but thought it a good idea to get myself signed in etc and took a seat (I was the only one in the practice waiting room at this point.) I had signed in with my DOB, name etc to the reception team and was told to take a seat.

Long story short I waited around an hour after my appointment time, only to find out after asking at reception, that the reception team hadn't actually signed me in. Mistakes happen that's okay, but it's the way it was handled that really got me. Not even a slight apology, simply 3 or so receptionists basically saying that I'D made a mistake and telling me that I hadn't signed in when I very clearly had, and I'm sure they knew it too. Again, mistakes happen but when people can't admit to their mistakes, apologise or do anything but try and throw the blame back in a patients face, it's slightly worrying, I've heard this has happened in quite a few cases to other people, as well as experiences with receptionists here being incredibly rude and condescending.

Again, no reflection on the nurses or doctors at Marchers, the lovely nurse I saw was so apologetic despite it not even being her mistake, and the care I received when I got into the office itself, it's just such a shame that the reception team make this place such a cold and unwelcoming place to come to.

Have had to visit twice to try and resolve an issue with name not matching on Covid documents and travel passport. Eventually managed to speak with the practice manager on the 2nd visit and found her to be one of the most unhelpful 'managers' I've ever had to deal with. Opening line was not even hello or give her name or anything, it was to wave a piece of paper and say we can't do anything else. Then proceeded to say the computer won't let her do what we asked - 'computer says no' - and moan that NHS Wales systems are nothing like in England so they can't just be changing information. Just got back home and the 1st thing we've done is to arrange to change GP surgeries. We've had some bad experiences with reception at Marches a few times before - although never with the nurses or doctors I'd like to add - but today was the final straw in terms of shocking service here. Have only given 1 star as zero wasn't an option!

Have nothing but praise for Marches Medical Practice especially during the pandemic. My family have had many health issues over the years which have always been handled in a excellent manner by all medical staff.

Like other mention, the doctors in this surgery are great and do their best. But the reception team is awful, I was waiting at the reception the other day whilst 2 women were talking and laughing before coming to see me. Very unprofessional and they are a nightmare to call through as well. This reception team needs training on customer service and operating at a high service as they have no clue. Can even tell by looking on some of them that they aren’t interested and the whole atmosphere seems off.

They need to sort out the booking system, its so dated, I should be able to book a call back or recieve some sort of response. If i say its an emergency they will call me back. But they ask me to ring before 10:30am to book a triage appointment, you cant get through before 10:30.
Sort your phone limes out if your that busy you should have the funds to do so!

Telephone service is appalling. Doctors themeselves are good when you eventually get to arrange a triage call. Doctors five star. Reception area one star.
