South Lakes Motorhome Hire

We've just returned from 2 weeks touring Scotland in a South Lakes Motorhome & would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to hire.
Samantha was great to deal with, from our first contact to ask whether our 3 dogs would be allowed, allowing us to view the motorhome before booking, providing us with information on campsites to help plan our trip, giving full instructions on everything in the motorhome on collection to checking it over on our return and refunding our security deposit within 1 day of return.
The motorhome was very well equipped with most things you are likely to need during your holiday & the drop down bed was great to ensure our dogs stayed in their own beds rather than jumping on our bed as they do in our current caravan!
Despite its size my husband found the motorhome very easy to drive and even commented after getting back into our own, much smaller car, that it felt heavier to drive than the motorhome!
We hired the motorhome as a trial before we decide whether to upgrade our caravan or change to a motorhome & it's convinced us that a motorhome will be the way to go at some point in the future. In the meantime, I would certainly use South Lakes again.

Just back from our first motorhome holiday touring through the Lake District. We hired a motorhome from Sam for our first experience as a family of 4 to see if we liked it, which we did, we all enjoyed travelling in the motorhome and look forward to doing it again.
The motorhome was new, clean and well equipped. It comes ready with all the crockery and catering equipment you’ll need. The beds are comfortable, and has plenty of space for 4 people to live, eat, watch TV etc. There is plenty of storage spaces and the garage is very useful for loading up at the start. We had 4 bikes on the bike rack, and it was very easy to mount and secure them.
The van was easy to drive, no more difficult than a car. Sam completed a very extensive handover at the start, so we were able to use all the functions of the van.
Highly recommended!

We are just back from a week long trip around the north coast of Scotland. From start to finish the service from South Lakes Motorhome Hire was first class. Before our trip Sam helped us with some advice on planning our route and overnight stops. Before setting off we were provided with instruction videos on how everything on the motorhome worked, these were really helpful. On collecting the motorhome everything was really clean and ready to go. The motorhome itself is a really good size, easy to drive and straight forward to work all the controls. In the current climate having our own cooking and bathroom facilities was fantastic helping us to feel more at ease as we travelled around. We really enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend South Lakes Motorhome Hire.

Our first motorhome holiday didn't disappoint! Helped by great safe service from Sam and an awesome van our road trip around Scotland was fantastic. We have 3 children and they loved the motorhome adventure, it never felt too cramped either. Thanks guys, we definetley recommend!

Really enjoyed the time we spent with South Lakes Motorhomes 6 Berth camper. We spent a little time touring Inverness and around the cairngorms.
Couldn't fault start to end of our experience, and to add Sam made it as easy and informative from the go. All in all a very smart and comfortable camper that I would recommend to anyone wanting this type of break/holiday. This was a new kind of mini break that we would normally have but I have to say we will making it more regular and I am sure we will be back.

South Lakes provided a great service from start to finish. They were really helpful during the booking process and the motorhome was just as described and in great condition. The Covid video handover was good and it also meant you still had the videos to check during the trip. Sam was very helpful with hints and tips and also available to deal with any queries we had during the trip. Great people to deal with and I would highly recommend them.

Just returned from touring the North West of Scotland... this is the second time we've used South Lakes Motorhome Hire... Sam and Adam provide a first class motorhome with a fantastic and friendly service...they provide loads of videos on how to operate all the many features that the motorhome has... this was excellent as we were new to it and made the holiday run very smoothly. We will definitely be booking with them again and would look nowhere else! 😀

We hired a motorhome from South Lakes Motorhome hire for the weekend and travelled to Silloth. From booking to pick up to drop off nothing was too much trouble and the videos were helpful and informative for amateurs like us.
