Being human I contributed £25 to the costs that amounted to over £150.
He did not ask I offered.
As a consequence I feel safe in recommending his services but understand he is a small independent business that has to make a living .
UPDATE 2: They have also responded to this review, saying that if I was unhappy with their service, I would have gone in A THIRD TIME to ask them to fix an issue that, in my opinion, a competant repair technician would have diagnosed and fixed the first time. I did not go in a third time or contact this company, as after finding my issues unresolved on two occasions, any faith I had in their abilities was diminished entirely and I found it pointless to attempt to deal with this store.
Also note how they have said in point 1 of their their response that they would diagnose the problem. If a diagnosis was done, then why would I need to come in a second time. Their response is also full of falsities.
With #2 specifically: At no point during my collection did Hussain say that if I had any additional issues to come back, nor did he mention anything about replacing the fans, just that he had oiled and cleaned them. It was only after i had taken it back and found it rattling and overheating, that I then CALLED them (a point that they have neglected to mention through their "records"), in which Hussain first argued with me and THEN told me to bring it and he will look into it. Another phone call later following my second visit, was when I was finally told that the fans were broken.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely horrendous, unprofessional and unhelpful. Would not recommend angry man to my worst enemy.
Took my laptop in to get a diagnosis for suspected overheating, and Mr. Solutions *allegedly* did diagnostics and cleaned it (though personally I think the diagnostics were completely skipped considering what is to follow).
Once I had it back, I find the fans are now rattling like maracas and the laptop heating up so much I could cook my Sunday breakfast on the motherboard (Satire). Called up following day to ask if he had actually run diagnostics and genius repairman starts arguing with me as if I'm questioning his capabilities.
Took it back and massive surprise, the fans are broken. SURELY nothing could have predicted this, not even, say, if the angry man had done his job properly the first time and checked it out properly as requested.
Salty sarcasm aside, he replaced the fans and gave it back to me. I had the technician confirm that the only problem was the fans.
That's the end of that then right? WRONG.
Laptop is still overheating and I am STILL getting error messages on boot up saying the fan b90 isn't operating correctly.
I get the opinion of a different center and they tell me that while the fan may have been replaced, the thermal paste needed to be re-applied (a common cause of overheating which should be checked as part of a standard overheating diagnostic).
Had Solutions checked this over in the first place like a competent computer repair specialist would, I would have saved a lot of money, time, petrol, mental stability, and my laptops health. I don't recommend you go to this store, there are no solutions, only pain.
