The Curzon Bloomsbury cinema is part of the Curzon group of cinemas that provide a higher end cinema experience with boutique interiors and often showing independent films as well as blockbusters.

The cinema has been sympathetically refurbished in keeping with the listed building status using concrete interiors in a modern way.

You can book twin seats but unlike Everyman these are smaller and closer together.

Peak evening cinema screening cost an eye watering £16.50 each and the screen we were in was stifling hot which I hoped one of the ushers would have picked up and adjusted at that price.

They have a well stocked bar and there is a unique style lift for those who need it.
All of the screens are underground and accessed by stylish corridors.

I've only been the once, in one of the small screens, but I would definitely go again.

They show niche films that might not be showing anywhere else, and the atmosphere is cool and intimate.

If I had to nitpick, the fridge had JUST been installed, so my Coke was only slightly chilled. A minor blemish on an otherwise good experience.

Very nice screen, staff very pleasant and nice facilities.
A warning, the Curzon nationally have a rather unfortunate non refund/exchange policy for tickets, so, try not to be unintentionally Ill or work for the NHS, where you may be called into work at sort notice. If they reviewed this policy, easy five stars.

Nice bar and so on, but the seats have zero leg room - I’m talking Ryanair level scrunch. Raking wasn’t great either. We won’t be back.

Fantastic cinema , great decor and lovely people who work there. The cinema screens vary in size and the seat recline just the right amount. They have lovely art house films and you can hire the space for events. Type of place you would make your local cinema if you lived closeby or wanted to have a good cinematic experience.

Very nice cafe, which I visited on many a lockdown day, sitting outside on the terrace overlooking Brunswick Park, having coffee and cake - still only £5.50 to members at this time (November 2022)and well worth it! Curzon home cinema was also a watch at home favourite then and now. Much to recommend this little oasis of Hygge in Bloomsbury!

Used to be really nice with premium seats. Now the seats are old and dirty, but the prices remained at central London levels. It's going downhill

I like this cinema a lot. It has a boutique style to it and a good choice of non-mainstream releases. The screening rooms are comfortable and prices for the afternoon screenings are keenly priced. A nice space just to have a coffee also.
