Although they have a sign encouraging you to bring you own food and pay a supplement charge don't do it. Workers there are rude if you do. Possibly don't have a sign asking you to take your own food if you don't want food from outside brought in. Wonderful building but spoilt by a grumpy worker. No doubt it will be flats soon anyway. Guys, ditch the sign, your prices are fair you don't need to offer food from outside in and moan about it.

This cinema is worth the visit just to experience what a cinema from the 30's would of been like. A wonderful step back in time.
The cinema has two screens and carpet that is clean, unheard of in the cinema world.
A ticket to see a film will set you back small change, £3 to £5 per ticket. A portion of popcorn is a pound, drinks sweets and chocolates all available at shop prices. Completely blown away by the prices. I haven't paid this little to see a film since I was a kid. I don't go to the cinema much because of the cost and the owners pricings will now allow me to enjoy films whenever I want. Brilliance.
With out a doubt go visit here, watch a film and soak in the history that surrounds you.

Just wonderful.

Great little cinema showing latest films. May not have all the bright lights, large entrance/snack counter and 3D/4D of the big players, but a family of 4 with pop corn and drinks for £22 to see the latest Marvel film - you can't go wrong IMHO.

Went to see Elvis for only £5 a ticket. Brilliant value and will be coming back soon. All snacks and drinks are amazing value too.

Been going to this cinema over 20 years, i remember afternoon films were £1.20!
Lovely experience, certainly a step back in time, i just wish they wouldn't allow any food from outside, whats wrong with having your dinner before coming out? Comfort eating has now become a part of society unfortunately.

truly the epitaph of cinema. odeon and cineworld do not compare to the grandeur of the rio cinema. the place itself feels like the classic cinemas from the 1920's with the colours and the posters on the walls. the pricing also is astonishing with only around £4 per ticket, an amazing price compared to odeon and cineworld which charges around £20 per ticket. the seats are amazing and even if they are not to your taste, there are sofas for you to relax on while you enjoy your movie. the pricing of refreshments are also well balanced compared to other cinemas which price thiers up to exorbitant amounts. would highly recommend going for a night out.
