The Phoenix cinema itself in Oxford is fine, apart from the sound for films being too loud, but the web site is beyond abysmal. They must lose a lot of money because of this as it's the opinion of many other people besides myself. Trying to find out which operas are being relayed is really quite difficult and not in the main lisitngs which does not list far in advance. All showing in every category needs to be listed in one place as far in advance as is feasible. Special relays can be listed separately but must include 'encores' and must all be together !! Booking on line is also quite difficult. Please employ someone to completely revamp the web site amd make it simple and easy to use for all the Picture houses.

I went to see NOPE at this cinema and it was really good and cozy. It is possible to buy food before the movie. The price
for a ticket ischeaper than elsewhere in Oxford.

Excellent broadcast live from New York of Cherubini's Medea - a killer of a role that Sondra Radvanovsky tackled magnificently. These live broadcasts always worth attending.

Great, aymospheric cinema with helpful and friendly staff. Great to see the non-multiplex spirit being kept alive.

Great cinema and important that we support the local businesses where we can.

It has a bar and it's friendly and welcoming. Love this touch!

The downside to this gem is that the seats are a bit cramped. I am over 6ft and this wasn't ideal. It's not the end of the world, but it can get uncomfortable.
The only other downside is the problem with parking (if you are driving).

Always a nice place to hang out and watch a movie you might not see in the bigger cinemas
