I regularly visit Showcase at Nantgarw as the parking is easy and so convenient. Always a wide range of films and times to suit. The staff are friendly and helpful. Snacks can be a bit pricy but it's a great way to spend a day or evening out. I'd recommend everyone to support their local cinema as it would be dreadful to lose it.

Visited to see an advanced screening of the move Till. Great cinema! Lots of products available such as ice cream, fresh popcorn, drinks machines with lots of options. There was also a Costa inside for anyone needing a caffeine boost! There's probably a few things I've missed too.
The lobby and screen we were in was very clean and tidy. Toilets were also well maintained and clean.

Decent cinema but very slow service on the concession. Luckily it wasn't too busy there but at busy times it would be a long wait for a drink. Seats quite comfortable. No presence in the cinema to stop people vaping in their seats and when I mentioned it to staff they didn't seem concerned.

This is an awesome cinema, away from the manic traffic of Cardiff town centre only 15 minutes away by car. Very reasonably priced drinks and popcorn. There's a nice seating area in the foyer as well if you want to sit and chat. There's also a Costa coffee on premises which is open. Reasonably late. Definitely a good location for a date night near Cardiff

Although a little dated now. This cinema does what I haven't seen others do. Whatever drink you buy (cup) has free refills. The popcorn tastes decent and the nachos are nice. The seating gives you a slight recline if you want it and when I visited recently they had the heating on. I'd go again

The temperature was 11 degrees inside the cinema today as they’re probably saving money on heating - understandably.
But 11 degrees is only 3 more than the outside.
Apart from that, lovely accidentally retro cinema.

Haven't been to Showcase for a while, prefer Vue cinemas if I'm honest. Prices to steep for what you get. Could do with some investment in my opinion. Tried three different seats, everyone of them squeaking and uncomfortable.

I normally go to the odeon closer to home but the times didn't work out for the showing so i thought id try somewhere else. Cue my first trip to a showcase cinema...and my last. The seats felt like the springs had broken so they were super uncomfortable the whole time, but I dared not move to try and get feeling back in my legs because of the horrendous squeaking that the seats made when I did. Also the sound quality of the film was really poor. It's like someone forgot to turn on the surround sound so everything seemed really muted, not a great cinematic experience. I also had to pay twice as much for a ticket than I do at the odeon. All in all rubbish. Up your game showcase
