ABC Removals

I had my stored belongings delivered to my new address after they'd been stored here for several months. Items were damaged, including a chair which now has three, instead of four legs, one of which is broken. It was in good repair before storage. The delivery of my sofa left the leather scuffed all day over, and my door with an entire side missing!! There are also items/boxes missing, and others are mouldy so in the bin. I had booked for my wardobe to be assembled but they came with no tools.

I had to pay someone else to come and repair the door and assemble my wardrobe, which was missing crucial parts and damaged so also had to be repaired. All the workmen said they could do you as add the damage on the worksheet. This doesn't help me. I called the office and was met with denial and rebuke.

All this, after ignoring repeated emails to arrange delivery, and then delaying my original delivery date by three days without any explanation. I had to sofa surf for this time. Very inconvenient as I'd arrived from Spain with no where to go.

To say their service was unsatisfactory is an understatement.

I just got off the phone where the guy shouted aggressively to me. Making out I was being unreasonable, trying to get things I wasn't deserving of. Like compensation!! Awful, awful people. Do not put your trust in these guys. You will regret it.

Arrived on time. Did a professional job, very helpful. Looked after my furniture with great care. Very good price, would defiantly recommend.

Pretty unprofessional. Had to chase them up for the promised quote and then was quoted one thing via text and another via a document posted through my door (extra £150 was spontaneously added).

All in all I was quoted £500 to move what is essentially a sofa, some bedroom furniture (not even wardrobes mind you) and numerous boxes 5 minutes up the road. I didn't request to move any kitchen items such as fridge, washing machine etc as we'll be buying those new, dread to think what the quote would have gone up to if we were planning to move a full house.

Needless to say we will avoid.

Phil, Trev and Neil moved us yesterday! What a lovely bunch, they made our move run so smoothly and we had a giggle in the process! They arrived at 9 and our contents were loaded securely on a lorry and Luton by 13:30. Then when we got to our destination prompt offload and helped position our furniture where we wanted it! Highly recommend theses guys and great value for money! Thank you!

Great service from start to finish, came out quickly & gave us a quote. No pressure & very helpful with queries. Couldn’t fault the guys on moving day, punctual, polite & friendly & very efficient & hardworking. Couldn’t believe how smoothly it all went. Thanks chaps, would definitely recommend.

Great service, great guys worked like donkeys! Gave us a great price, honoured everything they promised and more. Extra boxes and packing supplies, very patient, always polite. Think the assessor underestimated our volume but they sent an extra van and staff to honour their commitment. Lads worked with a smile and were very helpful, put in a long shift with high spirits. We contacted ABC removals 4 days before our move after a very quick agreed completion date. They helped us get all the paperwork together quickly by delivering it to us. They offered an excellent price which was much cheaper than other local firms. The team we had were professional and worked so hard for the entire day. I would highly recommend this removal company. Cowboys. We trusted this company with our furniture. They subcontracted the job to another company called Matthew James. It took 8 months for our furniture to be delivered out of the UK. It turns out Kevin didn't have the funds to settle his account with Matthew James so, they held our furniture to ransom. Kevin tried to get me to settle his account, which obviously, I refused. When he did settle the account, Matthew James failed to deliver to our home in Portugal. They made no attempt at all as, they said, Kevin didn't inform them that our house wasn't easy access. I made arrangements for another removal company to help, only for Matthew James, not playing ball, took our furniture to their depot in Malaga, Spain. It cost us additional £3700 to retrieve our furniture. Upon delivery of our furniture, there was £450 worth of damaged/broken items and £450 stolen/missing items. I have tried to obtain settlement for the damaged/stolen items but, Kevin has ignored my email and has made no attempt to solve the issue. I am currently, seeking legal advice and hopefully will be taking ABC removals to court. I would like to point out, KEVIN HASN'T DENIED DAMAGING OR STEALING ANY OF OUR ITEMS. This company obviously has issues. USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU DO NOT VALUE YOUR POSSESSIONS.
