Armishaws Removals

I had used Armishaws in the UK some years ago with good results, so went straight to them again for an international move this summer.
From initial contact, through customs paperwork and packing in the UK to arrival in our new home in Europe, I found them to be very professional and helpful. It was a slightly complex job, as we were only moving some of our possessions and the delivery location was not accessible to a large vehicle, but only the right stuff found its way onto the van and everything was taken in their stride. It was particularly helpful that they were able to accommodate some short notice changes from us without stress.
I found the office staff and the operators to be professional and courteous throughout. The end result was on time, with nothing lost and no damage to either our possessions, walls or door frames. It was particularly welcome that the delivery crew made sure our new neighbours were not inconvenienced. Will definitely use them again.

Like lots of reviews on here, main complaint is rude central office staff, with absolutely no idea on customer service. 1 container was late, and when it did arrive, the Fridge was damaged (several external dents) on arrival, though a claim was eventually sorted. In 2022, these companies are increasingly becoming like dinosaurs as the power of the consumer review catches up with them. I would strongly recommend not using a removals company for storage as well, as it makes it difficult to negotiate on delivery date issues, when they are holding your stuff. Here is an copy-paste response from an email when i advised i would be leaving a poor review; “If any part of any review you might place is libellous I will pass your file to our legal department with a view to seeking damages”. Not a pleasant way to speak to a customer who had already paid thousands of pounds for removals and storage services. Not a 1-star review, as the removals teams on the ground were absolutely fine, and quite helpful.

After speaking to several top Removal companies Armishaw were the only ones that responded in good time. We did take up the Priority customer service which worked extremely well. No matter who you spoke to they all knew what was going on and they were very professional in the way everything was handled. Martin and Matt were the two guys that stayed with us for the 3 days it took to load and deliver everything. They were very polite and professional. It was a tough 3 days moving a 4 bed house plus garden plants and the Garden shed contents. They handled everything with great care and nothing was too much trouble. It was nice after a long buying process to work with a pleasant and reliable company.

Absolutely amazing crew! The service on the days of packing and moving were next to none and we were very happy. They didn’t complain even though we have a 4 storey house.

The customer service were extremely facilitating when things had to change and extremely easy to get hold of and talk to. The crew were prompt and professional, they packed everything with care and made it look effortless. They took care when moving items and there was not a scratch on the property or items. They go above and beyond asking where you would like boxes placed in the new house. The whole experience was easy for us, all I had to do was keep the tea and coffee flowing. Would definitely choose Armishaws, thank you.

They were punctual, arrived on time for collection and delivered on time. All house contents were packed safely, no damage was witnessed. Very friendly and jolly. Excellent service.

We would just like to thank you and your team for your assistance and understanding in our move with yourselves last 1st December 2022. Things were a bit touch and go with our final detail being confirmed only on the Monday before you moved us on the Thursday.

Wayne and his crew mate (apologies I have forgotten his name) were great and worked like trojans.
Overall as a company you helped over a rather stressful time. Hopefully we will not be moving again in the near future, but if we needed would use you again and recommend.
