Go with your kids or grandchildren. Theres a small but enchanting mix of steam age memorabilia, with well-informed commentary from the heart of a railway community. Nice bit of fixed down brio keeps my grandsons happy for ages. There are also temporary arts / crafts shows in the rear-most gallery usually to a theme with wide range of interpretation, skill levels and painterly values for your delectation.

Nice museum. Like that they have some toys in there for children to play with. Nice little shop. Didn’t give it 5 star because the display at the front of the museum has been the same for about 25 years, shame it can’t be changed regularly!

It would help if it was actually open when their website said it would be! There was no explanation why it was closed on the locked door.

A wonderful experience. An ideal place to learn about the history of Eastleigh and its significant place in railway history. They make excellent tea and coffee, too!
